Handgun hunting.

I killed a 200 lb wild pig last month with my 686 357 magnum. Good shot placement is the key with any gun, use something you are comfortable with.

Re: Winchester primers.

CCI primers are the hardest primrs you can buy. If you are concerned about light strikes you should stay away from them. I have had no issues with Winchester primers. Federal primers seem to be the softess. It could also be an issue wth the gun rather than the primers.

Re: Guns/Collections

Wheelguns, favor all wheelguns from the 1955-1980 time frame. Also really like 1911s. The history behind them just makes me buy more of them.

Re: best small .380

I also have the S&W bodyguard, never seen a pistol so thin. Great sights as well. Good for carry, but like all tiny guns it is not something you will want to shoot 50 rounds with at the range, and all of the pocket 380s have that heavy double action trigger.

Re: Whats your favorite handgun you've owned?

I grew up shooting the Ruger Single 6 and still use it today 40 years later. For "coolness" factor I love my springfiled loaded 1911. For accuracy, I shoot the S&W 686 revolver the best.

Re: (Work in progress) Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 review

I have had one for over the year. Seldom use the laser, it does have the best iron sights of any of the guns I have seen in the pocket 380 category. So thin and light you forget that you have it on you. It does have a 1911 style thumb safety, which I like, and for those that don't like a safety, don...

Re: pocket revolver with a nice trigger recommendation?

IF you like Glocks, any of the Glock sub-compacts are easy to reduce the trigger pull. Most pocket pistols have very hard pull DA triggers (ie S&W 642, S&W Bodyguard 380). Kahr makes the best DA trigger I have seen in their PM line. Metal triggers with no creep. I pocket carry the PM 45 (45 ...

Re: FTE problem with reloads

Great ideas! I did change the recoil spring right away, didn't solve the problem. Only an issue with my reloads, runs very smooth with factory ammo. Using mostly reloaded WIN brass, but I do have new brass I can use. WIll also try some of the other ideas mentioned and see if it helps.

Re: FTE problem with reloads

Use a turret press for reloads, 4 stations with the 4th being the lee factory crimp die. No issues using the smae setup for other calibers.

Re: FTE problem with reloads

Using a lt crimp. Haven't tried changing that variable. The shell comes out easy enough by racking the slide, just perplexed as to why it happens. Never had this issue with the other calibers: 45, 38 super, etc..
