Re: Something to think about

I really like the points XDM45 made - this is fundamentally a human issue. Similar, also, to what bpacman and xd ED said, folks who are anti-gun tend to use emotions as their basis for their opinions. I personally consider this a poor method of decision making, but that is the reality. In order to r...

Re: Let's see if Glock and Federal bow

Make sure you understand the source of this edict -- its coming from Rybak -- not the Minneapolis PD. Another case of the leaders not speaking for the rank and file. It's coming from the highest-ranking officer of Minneapolis's municipal government. Police officers are free to get jobs elsewhere, t...

Re: Let's see if Glock and Federal bow

The linked articles now mention S&W - Glock may have been an error on their parts or on the OP's part.

Re: the new panic... hr 241

I plan to attend Tuesday at 8:30a for sure, possibly more - anybody wanting to carpool from the SW Metro and maybe grab lunch afterwards? Parking by the capitol can be expensive and hard to find.

Re: Firearm picture thread?

Remington 870 Express Magnum - Furniture courtesy of 45Badger. I'd say he does one hell of a job.

Re: Maybe I have this all wrong..........

Why don't they just make it so the buyer either shows a PTP or PTC then the background checks are good to go..................end of the f'n argument! A lot of people here would say that is infringing on their rights. I've heard two reasonable arguments against background checks or pe...

Re: Wanted: Gun Crate

If Strad is lurking somewhere, I know he had one at one point in time.
Otherwise I'd check with gun stores - they might not have one but they may know where you could get one.

Re: Shadow Ops Lower Deal??

Seems reasonably legit - they are an existing business according to a number of other sites... worth a shot, I ordered one.

You jerk... how dare you.

Seems like an interesting DIY sort of solution... not sure I'd want to wear AR500 on my chest, but to each their own. :)

Re: Inrange following in footsteps of Groupon

Hmm, interesting. The whole situation is really weird - keep us posted if you manage to find out what exactly the deal is... good luck, I hope you can recoup your lost monies at least.

Re: Inrange following in footsteps of Groupon

My guess is that instead of paying the money forward to the range, Groupon simply refunded the money to the people who bought the deal. The way the range sees it, they've got no money from the deal so why should they give people free range time because Groupon are being jerks. That's strictly a gues...

Re: CCW Friendly Winter Coat

Heffay makes a good point, otherwise I just wear a leather jacket which I can "sweep" up similar to a shirt or any other garment that's in between me and my firearm. ETA: I prefer that to a side zipper or something else because I don't have to retrain myself to access my carry gun in the w...

Re: sks value?

It's worth whatever someone will pay.
[/snark]

But seriously, if he sells it now he'll probably get a better price than he would have a few months ago.
