Re: Athletic holster

A belly band could be another option - it's even possible to wear one such that your firearm rides in a similar location to where it would be on a belt holster.

Re: First Gun Purchase questions

Yeah, he had a number of issues with the department he had to go through... including "why do you need a permit to purchase"?

...

I told him he should have said "Because f*** you."

Re: Gun Stop Mtka- TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Your price shopping didn’t save you $40 – it allowed you to break even while fed a gluten a morsel and denied a child a meal. Savvy shopping indeed If you think that it fed a gluton and deprived a child a meal, you are full of ****. I simply passed along something that Gander did to keep me as a cu...

Re: Strikefire Optics

Not sure about starburst, but I have noticed the POI seems to shift when you switch from red to green.
Otherwise I like my Strikefire - it's a budget optic and if you treat it as such, you'll enjoy it.
If you expect it to be an $800 EOTech you're in for some disappointment. :D

Re: First Gun Purchase questions

You can apply early for a PTP - under 21 year olds need them to buy "scary black rifles", however the PD may write or stamp "no handguns" on it (because some of them seem to think dealers are stupid), at least that's the experience a friend of mine had. YMMV

Re: Anti Car Jacking Device

Not trolling. Just asking. Do not know what training has to do with someone suggesting that you dry fire from your vehicle. I could see that done safely in the correct setting however in the metro area I would suspect that would be very difficult to do. That's fair. Saying it might be difficult to ...

Re: News from some Manufacturers

Thanks for the info, John.

And for people complaining... if you don't like the price on something, you're free to not buy it.

Re: Anti Car Jacking Device

Two words: Dry fire. You're welcome. :D XDM45 - the flamethrower is my favorite too. Well-done criminals are the best kind. So you point your muzzle in an unsafe direction and pull the trigger? I would suggest pointing it in a safe direction, but that's just me. ETA: Clearly, outside of a fu...

Re: Anti Car Jacking Device

So do you rehearse holster draws from your car? I want to go to your range. Private land some family owns, so yeah... but I don't get up there as often as I'd like... but in answer to your question, yes, I do. Don't you? I would if I could find a range that would let me drive my car onto the firing...

XDM45 wrote:bad idea since someone could see that in your unattended car. Better it be on your hip instead.

Carjacking typically takes place while the car is occupied. ;)
