Re: Beyond your basic first aid kit

Yes, take a class - worth more than all the gear you could buy! That being said, buy from a reputable dealer - there are fake CAT tourniquets out on the market (as one example) - don't just buy off eBay to save a few dollars. Finally, if anyone is interested, I'd be happy to put together a group buy...

Re: Hogue Grips - Customer Service

Unfortunately my experience has not been acceptable. In July I finally got around to installing a new grip from Hogue on my Ruger SP101 only to find that it doesn’t fit snuggly. There is enough space to partially insert a nickel between the grip and the trigger guard. I actually sent them a photo. ...

Re: ASP batons

Keep in mind that a baton could very well be a LETHAL weapon, especially in the hands of somebody without baton training. If you pull one on somebody, especially on a police officer or somebody with a firearm and carry permit, they may be justified in putting some holes in your body. This. I've wor...

Re: armor plate carriers

UnaStamus has a lot of good information! One thing I wanted to add; the military body armor (SAPI plates) is a whole different ballgame, and is not tested to NIJ standards, but rather to the military's own standards (to some controversy). That being said, like was mentioned earlier, military armor t...

Re: Sig P220 45 VS Colt 1911 Gov. 45

As a Sig guy, the fact that it's been reworked and whatnot makes me somewhat nervous... That said, being that it's been back to Sig, I wouldn't worry about its future performance - if it was really as bad as somebody else said it could be internally, they'd have replaced those bits as well. That sai...

Re: Semiauto handgun suggestions for the gf...

I'd like to raise something I haven't noticed anyone raise yet - make sure she is involved in the process. If it's going to be her gun, she should be involved in the selection process. That said, if you've been keeping her involved, all of the suggestions I've seen have been good. I think the best t...

Don't get me started... :D

If he still wants to sell the SP2022, they're not bad little guns... just not worth as much as a P226.
