MG&F IDPA March 27 cancelled

I don't know if anyone had planned to go to this, but the calendar I look at was not updated, but checking their website, I see the following notice.

The Thursday March 27 Evening match is CANCELED due to range conditions.
We have added Thursday May 1 and Thursday May 8 as make-up dates.

Just FYI.

Re: Salesman named Chad at Alexandria Wally World

I am getting closer to 40 and they ask me this question. I guess I am not absorbing enough gunpowder through my pores.

Re: What is GRRC Tac Shotgun scheduled for March 14th and 15th?

Between this and the Tac rifle match, there is hardly any info. I would understand it if they were invitational matches, but I am unable to determine rules and equipment along with times and fees for any of these matches. I just happen to know they exist because it shows up on the google calendar.

Re: Shotgun Light Mount and Light - economical

What is economical? I see $120 Streamlight as economical for the shock resistance it offers compared to Surefire. Anything low end will not last too long so I don't see why they would be economical. But TLR-1 is very effective. I have seen people post pictures of their basic light and attachment set...

Re: AR Cleaning kit

I don't like the Otis kit as I have seen it stuck in barrels several times at ranges. While this has not happened to me, had I not seen it, I wouldn't have believed that the piece at the end crimped on could come off while inside the barrel. But I have seen this happen at least 3 times.

Re: Acceptable variance for loading?

For me, handgun loads +/- 0.2gr
rifle loads +/-0.05gr

I know it can be wider, but my reason for reloading is precision for rifle and power factor for handgun.

Re: Shipping guns?

The firearm must be dropped off by the owner and received by the owner for this to be valid. I didn't request a letter, but got the answer through ATF.

Re: NOOB 1911 question

Actually, you're both wrong then. :P It's meant to prevent an AD in the event the sear is moved without the trigger fully depressing it. The trigger has to be held back through the entire hammer rotation or the sear spring will cause it to catch on the half-cock notch. ;) Yes, the half-cock or safe...

Dummy shotshells

I know it is hard to find dummy shells around for practice in shotgun reloading so I figured I would offer this for a limited run. Following conditions apply: 1. You provide a box of shotshells (QTY: 25) or price equal to that amount by paypal gift (I will provide the final price) (2 3/4" only,...

Re: 7.62 Modern Battle Rifle Experiences?

FN SCAR-17 I really like the weight, but the price of mags and short handguard location was an issue with me. This isn't an issue anymore as I got mine when it was originally introduced. Very easy to clean. LWRCI REPR Not much to say. It is an AR platform by a good company. POF P308 I have to say th...
