Re: Minnetonka Sportsman Club

Last newsletter said the wait list is 3 years.

I didn't renew my membership, so there should be one more slot in there.

I really like that place, but it was too far out of my way that I didn't feel the need to renew as I have membership at 2 other places.

Re: AR-Mag pouch for competition.

1. Yes. Not enough reloading to have the mag pouch. While it is convenient to have the pouch, your back pocket will be sufficient for any local matches.
2. I have 2, but rarely used the 2nd one
3. Bladetech is good choice. I use Safariland with TekLok attachments

Re: IMR 4166?

I have been considering this powder for a while to replace Varget. But I have so much of the rifle stuff that I am going to wait until Summer when I can do proper testing. I wanted a small batch to do cold weather testing, but I want to buy that 8lb jug to keep it consistent if there any issues with...

Has there been any updates to SBR laws?

http://www.armslist.com/posts/3354352/minneapolis-minnesota-rifles-for-sale--glock-17-mech-tech-carbine-kit--upper-only- I ran into this listing and thought taking that Glock out would make it illegal as you cannot make long gun into handgun without paperwork with ATF. Just wanted to refresh NFA stu...

Would you pick Smith 586 or Ruger GP100 for your only revolv

Have both and if I was forced to throw one away I would choose 586 as I like the clearly written warranty of S&W. But both revolvers would be equal until that point.

TRADED: Unique for Bullseye

Trade in progress.

I have 3 pounds of Unique purchased a month ago. I bought it to substitute, but really want to see if I can obtain equivalent amount of Bullseye.

I am in Minnetonka, but commute to Hugo, MN. I would be willing to meet at USPSA or 3-gun matches as well.

Re: Edina Shooting range

Remember that the range was not originally designed for the public. The sign there indicating not collecting spent brass is not for the public shooters. I was informed of this after talking to the employees there.

Re: Where's the powder?

I really need some Solo 1000 to repay a huge favor owed. If someone can let me know if you see this powder in stock somewhere, that would be great. I don't expect to have any luck, but it would be nice to get this for a friend. I check 3 local reloading shops regularly and haven't seen it.

Re: Tell me more about 4/19 Steel Shoot - Gopher match

What is the format used? Similar to USPSA or IDPA?
I was told that you can use 22LR rifles. I figure that is the only open Saturday I see that conflicts with no other matches so I wanted to do something as my free Saturdays are usually reserved for other matches.
