Re: Your learned opinion please - Glock 36 IWB Holsters

Kind of spendy, but for my G36 I use a High Noon Horsehide IWB holster for summer carry.

Re: Competition Pistol Training Oct 19th

I did ask Ben about holding a class in this area next spring and he would be interested. We would need to know the interest, figure out a range (hopefully one with props) and a good time to hold it. Instead of one day maybe it would be fun to have one day training and then the second setup as match...

Re: Different Front Sights?

My wife put a Hi-Viz fiber-optic sight on her Glock 34 after breaking the cheap plastic sight off, shooting under a picnic table. The Hi-Viz is a little narrower as to not totally block out the sight picture. The fiber optic really helps big time for aging eyes in picking up the front sight.

Re: Best Night Sights ...

I have 2 guns with TruGlo TFO's, 2 with Meprolight and 1 with Trijicon. The TruGlo's are the brightest both day & night but I've had a couple of them fail. One dot on each set quit glowing right after purchase, which got replaced from the store I bought them at . The fiber flew out of one of my ...

Re: Training pistol for class

In addition to the 'Blue' guns, Law Enforcement Targets sells a 'Red' dry fire gun for a couple of bucks less. It gives you a trigger that goes click and it's weighted to simulate a 1911. But it doesn't fit into a 1911 holster.

Re: Call 911 - get a Civilian - Yea Right!

The civilians also come much cheaper. In Las Vegas, a sworn officer who has cleared his initial probation period makes at least $54,000. Starting salary for civilian responders is $32,000.

They come even cheaper if there illegal and don't speak English.

Re: Removing brass punch scuffs from sights?

Have you tried your ordinary gun cleaner?
I was surprised at how easy brass scuff marks came off for me with Hoppes #9.

Re: Some basic 1911 questions for a 1911 Newbie

I changed the recoil spring on this gun from a 12 to a 10 lb. This pretty much fixed the problem with this gun. My wife likes to shoot 115gr. UMC Remington because of it's soft recoil. I thinking the ammo didn't have enough energy to lock the slide back (either long enough or far enough?) for the sl...
