Re: Fleet Farm Handguns?

Winona Fleet Farm has had their handguns out for a couple of weeks. The gun department is a much busier place now.

Re: So I have these spam cans....

At the Fleet Farm where I buy my cans, the dumb kids in the sporting goods department have been throwing away the can openers because they didn't know what they were. I tried using a regular can opener, but the ones we have are not sharp and strong enough to penetrate the lid. Maybe an old American-...

Fleet Farm Selling Magpul Accessories

I was pleasantly surprised to see that my local Fleet Farm is now selling Magpul accessories among other new items for rifles and handguns. Last week, I picked up a Magpul battery assist device for my M4 carbine.

Re: Care and Feeding of the Mosin Nagant 91/30

No intention of using can ammo..... Too easy to find the non-corrosive stuff cheap. I would rather pay the $6/box of 20 for the Brown Bear SP stuff, than run the risk of pitting the barrel. In addition to being non-corrosive, it seems much more accurate to boot. I have been told to not believe the ...

Re: Confused about the AR's

am sure you guys have probably seen this. I am looking in to purchasing my first AR type rifle soon and am just very freakin overwhelmed by what is posted in these stupid AR forums. I just want something to punch holes in paper and shoot the occasional exploding target or watermelon. I know exactly...

Re: 7.62x54R Spam Cans On Sale At Fleet Farm

I stopped by FF yesterday to get the can opener. The kid at the gun counter had no clue what I was talking about. I showed him the cans of ammo on the shelf and explained that I needed a special can opener that comes with the cans to access the contents. He still didn't seem too clear on what I want...

Re: 7.62x54R Spam Cans On Sale At Fleet Farm

Got the FF flyer yesterday in the local paper. Looks like the sale is on for the rest of the week. BTW, my can has "77" on it. I have to stop by on Tuesday after work and pick up a can opener. Man, I would love to get one of those M39 carbines. They actually get those in? I thought they ju...

Re: 7.62x54R Spam Cans On Sale At Fleet Farm

Nice, I assume this is the same 22-77 stuff (22 = Romanian origin, 77 = 1977 mfgr date) they had last week that I paid full price for up in Blaine... (grumble). I hate when that happens. It seems to go on sale for one week every month or so. I never see it mentioned in their flyers. I am a regular ...

Re: Fleet Farm Mosin Nagant M91/30

while you guys are at it... May want to take the time to find a firing pin gage tool. Let's you know you have the firing pin protrusion set correctly if you ever disassemble the bolt. They get as much gunk up in the firing pin channel too. Figure 42 shows the step. http://www.surplusrifle.com/finni...

Re: Decent AK?

I'll go against the grain and say to at least look at Wasr's first. They're prolific locally; one can inspect them before purchase. They are rough looking, and generally need some work out of the box to clean, but find one that passes a quick inspection of cant and magazine fit nets one a pretty de...

Re: Does anyone have any experiance with one of these?

I've seen the videos. It is cool, but expensive. I guess it's okay if you have the money to spend. I have also heard from others that there are problems with moisture affecting the plastic in the stock.

Re: Fleet Farm Mosin Nagant M91/30

I ended up picking up at 1937 Tula M91/30 today up at FF up in Brooklyn Park. Everything on it is in awesome condition and no Soviet refurbishing marks to be seen. I am pleased so far and I cannot wait to shoot it. That's cool. I may buy another one when they go on sale again and I will try to find...
