Re: sks value?

They had one at Arnzen a week or two back. I think it was a Chinese one and priced at $400.

Re: Mosin insanity

Yes it was. I know I could have used a hatchet but I wanted it to still look half ways decent when it was all said and done. Why go through all that trouble to have something that doesn't look good? Camouflage. Hide it in a stack of scrap wood and nobody will ever be the wiser. Just not a stack nea...

Re: New to the 10/22

The new style mag release with the weird little lever hanging down isn't too bad. The old button style is a pain.

Best upgrade? Hangout with somebody who drinks Heineken. Those mini keg cans hold up way better than standard cans.

Re: Russian AK at Fleet Farm

The basic ones need a saiga specific mag. Easily curable condition, just check on legality issues before doing it. Not sure about the conversions at FF. I believe they're made at the Izhmash factory, so quality is way up there, at least on the parts that don't get swapped once in the U.S.

Re: So far off the deep end....

What's wrong with you people? Think of the children!

No, really, toys for tots could make use of these.

Re: Mosin insanity

I was contemplating doing a bullpup mosin for the build off that happened back in may. Gave up on the idea when I realized it would be a ton of work making a stock with nothing more then the dremel I had available at the time. Wasn't that the bubba build off? Screw the dremel. With the rules for th...

Re: Finished installing new FDE furniture on my IO AK

Does the extension tube seem pretty sturdy? I was debating on doing an AR type stock, but wasn't so sure about adapter options.

Re: Sub2000 locally? Anyone actually seen one?

They were hard enough to find when gun shops could actually keep guns in stock.

Re: Moss Pawn (Gun Gripes)

Probably the most practical gun channel on youtube. There's some other channels that are amusing, but the Moss Pawn guys lay out info for what most people are realistically going to do. Their hi-point testing is hilarious. I just wish they hadn't been so spot on with what to buy before a potential g...

Re: 22 ammo

A guy at the FF counter was saying once the AR's were all sold, people who wanted to go that route just picked up a .22 and a pile of ammo instead. I guess the idea that everybody should own a .22 is starting to catch on.
