My wife has been using a Marlin .45-70 with a illuminated reticle scope for years.

No issues. Drops them even if the shot is a little "off".

-20f deer hunting up in Ely, must have been 2001 or 2002 ?? Truck wouldn't start at the end of the day; long, dark ,cold walk back to the cabin. Ish.
