Re: Different perspective on training?

Competition (with associated dry fire activities)can GREATLY accelerate your gun handling and shooting ability since you are in an atmosphere where you push your limits, watch others, get feedback, and can discuss skills. There is a reason the military brings in grandmasters to teach at least the s...

Re: Who makes/sells the best 1911 mags?

I like the Chip MrCormick Power + Mags. I have the regular power mags as well and have had no malfunctions with them. I know lots of guys who like the Wilson as well. The Tripp magazines seem to be more popular in the shooting sports community and dont seem to be as popular in .45 (most guys running...

Re: Ammo

Who is the manufacture? I would be interested in looking at a list of the gr weights available in 223. I would also be interested in a "sample pack" of various weight 223 ammo. That way I could figure out which one my rifle likes best and go from there.

Re: Need more ammo faster.....Advice?

As you know I have had great results with the WF Trimmer and skipping the chamfer. I will debur as needed (only if I see a large/sharp burr) I have noticed certain brands of brass were more prone to this BHA match comes to mind as the biggest offender. I did my first 1500 rounds with full brass prep...

Re: Indoor Gun range

Indoor- 150-200rds of pistol and 30-50rds of rifle. Sometimes it is far less, just depends on what I am there to do.

Re: Ruger GP100 Question

I'm picking up a used one tomorrow. It has a factory bobbed hammer so it might be DA only. Vintage 1992 by the serial #. I want it for defense but I know I'm more accurate with SA. So practice will improve my score on targets. I'd prefer DA/SA but this will be ok. Glad the trigger weight can be mod...

Agreed! Your certainly not going to bang any doors in with that thing! It looks more like some bastardized Mosin part, did someone rip off the design from someone in the bubba build off?

Re: anyone loading Barnes bullets in 300 Win. mag?

Never in that particular caliber, I will say this I have never seen or heard of a problem with bullets that come in green or yellow boxes. Barnes makes great stuff develop a load and you should have no problem finding accuracy. Do some surfing on the interwebs, there is a company out there that sell...

Re: Caliber for Deer Hunting

Took couple of deers with mosin. Most bang for the buck. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2 Yep! The Mosin is also one of the most popular hunting rifles for natives in Alaska, rock solid weapon with bulk ammo being available about as cheap as it can get. This what caliber for deer is like "...
