Re: Hasn't even been 24 hours and...

The UN small arms treaty only affects international trade. Domestic trade is unaffected. If this is signed by the US (which it **** won't be) it will only affect imports (which is still kind of a big deal, but the BLUE HELMETS aren't going to come and confiscate all our firearms) and not sales, man...

Re: GOCRA Releases Fall 2012 Candidate Ratings

30A HOLLY NEUMAN DFL A- Really? this nut bag wants to issue Drinking licenses. She would rather put the burden on the bars and the general public to prove that not only they are of age but that the state has given permission for the person to drink. ...Big Lake resident Holly Neuman suggested a cou...

Re: Steel and Non Toxic for Pheasants.

http://www.texashuntfish.com/app/wildlife-resources/20287/Lead-vs-Steel-Shot It's appropriate to select a steel shot size that's two designations larger than the lead shot you would normally use. For hunting grouse, say, you might try No. 6 or 4 steel rather than No. 8 or 6 lead. I end ...

Re: Gunsmithing: Cleaner B4 loctite: Brakeclean or Stating Fluid

there are many oil tolerant loctie formulation available. at work we very rarely need to clean out RP or oil prior to installing fasteners. And only use Red if you never want to take it apart without a torch, Blue works just fine for most threads.

Re: Students with gun permits get segregated dorms at University

One of the advantages of legally carrying concealed is that you can choose to quietly go about your business without having to explain your personal choices to anyone. This policy is forcing people to "out" themselves. Whether they want to or not. They don't have "straight" and ...

Re: Presidential election observation and poll.

Principles are for primaries & conventions, the general election is about blocking the worst choice with the most likely to accomplish that end. This is why I caucus with the Republicans and will not waste my vote when the system is clearly only two parties whether we like it or not. As an examp...

Re: Department of Homeland Security expecting election violence?

Actually, most of the violence I saw at the RNC was caused by the police. Going to have to disagree with you. I was at the RNC everyday and made trips between Excel and downtown Minneapolis several times a day and hung out down town in my down time (I wanted to see a hippie get tossed) The whole ti...

Re: Forest Lake PD shoot Deer in backyard

These clueless people feeding the dear have no rights to the animals despite whatever emotional bond they think they have, the DNR is right on this one. They knew deer in the area were way to friendly with people (pink collar?/tag), there wasn't a licensed ranch in the area, there is a increased ris...

Re: Coyote kills very nice buck

In Blaine it doesn't seem to matter what form of projectile-thrower you use (slingshot, bow and arrow, shotgun) - it's all against the city regs: "The discharge of deadly weapons is prohibited within City limits. Deadly weapons include all firearms, bow and arrows when arrows are point tipped,...

Re: Safe shotgun carry condition for pheasant hunting

My first season I only got one in the chamber on a 20 ga 870 with a full choke. It definitely taught me to slow down and take one good shot, thankfully we were still using lead back then so I had a fighting chance to reach out a little more then I can today with steel
