Re: Training my dog with pheasants

Ahh ok. I understand now. Well as I said before a cheaper way to train would be to do it with ppigeons.

Re: Training my dog with pheasants

Train him as in take him to the hunting preserves you described and shoot the paid for pheasants? Or train him with pheasants purchased and released in your own field. If you are talking about just training as in throwing the birds or freezing them why not use pigeons, dove or quail? I don't believe...

Re: Anyone load 255 gr LSWC in 45 auto?

When I recieved the 200 bullets my friend said they were 45's but didn't know the weight. I got them home and thats when I realized they were 255 grs. With only 200 of them and the messing around id have to do, as well as the heavier spring its not worth it.

Thanks for the help guys.

Re: Anyone load 255 gr LSWC in 45 auto?

Ahh yes the picture. The pictured posted does not represent the actual bullets I received. The picture is just for reference of what the bullet looks like. The projectiles I have all measure at .452. Sorry for the confusion.

Anyone load 255 gr LSWC in 45 auto?

I received some free 255 gr Lead semi wad cutters and thought I could load these for my 45 acp. Problem is I didn't see any load info in any of my books. Reason being the bullets are for 45 Long Colt. I did a little looking on the internet and found guys do load these for 45 ACP but most are talking...

Re: .223 deer load

I reload as well so my recipe won't help you much. As stated before. It's all about shot placement. If you are confident with your rifle and you know where its going to shoot then any .223 bullet should be fine. You said they would be under 100 yards and both of my deer ive taken with my .223 have a...

Shot my best score at skeet today. 23/25

I've been shooting skeet every Monday for 3 months now. I wish I could shoot more but there is no available spots any other time. I've been shooting since I was 13 at my grandpas place as well. After many attempts and a few 22/25 I finally reached a 23/25. Hopefully before the cold hits I can hit a ...

WTS: *SPF* 336 pcs 45 ACP SMALL PRIMER

**SPF*** Hey guys. Going through the reloading pile and found a ziplock bag with 336 pcs of 45 acp small primer. I have no intentions to load these so I might as well sell them to someone who will. 2 years ago I bought a bag of mixed 45 acp brass from Burnsville Pistol Range. Well after sorting I e...

Re: SD dogging

Yes pics! At least someone is getting out there to shoo them. It's still on my list to do this year. I was just out in the hills but I was also on the motorcycle.. Good luck my friend.
