Re: Are there any local restaurants where the servers open carry

I recall there was a shooting exercise at the Burnsville Winter League that started with both hands occupied....grocery bags, and perhaps even a (simulated) infant...I think you lost points if you dropped the wrong one.... Joe and I always tried to make the matches fun, as well as learning a lesson...

Unclaimed Trophies

I've got two trophies that weren't claimed on Trophy Night at Burnsville Pistol Range Winter League back when Joe and I were running them. I've since lost my email addresses (damn virus!) so I can't contact them. I'd like to give them to the guys that earned them. If anyone knows John Cedarberg or J...

Re: Local gun shop Directory

J&S Custom Gun Shop in Lakeville hasn't been there for years. Jeff S sold the shop, married a foreign girl and moved to Sweden. [I've since heard that he passed away, way too young!] The shop became Dakota Arms, but it's gone, too.

Re: Lee Pro-4000 Press

Don't you already use a Dillon? If so, why would you want to go backwards on technology? The Lee is only a 3 station press, it looks like the primers need to be placed into the press manually also. I have two: a 650 (my second) and a 550. I'm looking for something that works similar to the 650 but ...

Lee Pro-4000 Press

Has anyone tried the new Lee Pro-4000 Press? I'm thinking of a mid(?)-life change.

Re: Burnsville Pistol Range winter matches

It worked!!!! :D Orientation is 9/12 at 6PM with the first match on 9/19 (check-in at 6PM). The remaining matches are on the first and third Thursdays of the month except for April (only the 1st Thursday). We will be using Practiscore this year including match pre-registration (search for "Burn...

Burnsville Pistol Range winter matches

Tried to let you know that the winter practical pistol matches were starting next month, but it keeps telling me the format is incorrect. Let's try again.

Re: Chronograph at Oakdale

Mike, you might be surprised how well it works. The sky screens are designed to diffuse (ie shade) sunlight. I’ve used my 35 in shade and tested known loads with no issues (not at Oakdale) and you may be overthinking this. If you consistently have non readings or such, that would be a sign that the...

Chronograph at Oakdale

I've got chronograph that needs "exercize." Since Oakdale Gun Club is the only place I can use it at present, it might be a problem since most of the ranges have shading about where the chronograph would sit. It's an Oehler 35P.

Anyone else us a chronograph at OGC? Any problems?
