Re: Mossberg 500?

The good thing about a Mossberg 500 is that it will probably last a lifetime.

Re: 2 teens killed after allegedly breaking into home;

It is always possible that the situation could have been the inverse had the home invaders panicked and made some judgment errors (in addition to being home invaders to start with) after being seen by an senior citizen who could identify them. Being armed might have saved the homeowners life. I also...

Re: A bit of a Curfuffle...

I know people who think that nothing bad will ever happen to them only "other" people.
Some of them buy lottery tickets and think they have a chance of winning the powerball, yet never have a chance of a violent encounter.

Re: A bit of a Curfuffle...

I have been married 30+ years and have had two " situations" where the wife looked at me like....Oh crap, I hope you got that thing on you!!! Still married and will most likely live happily everafter! This is part of her argument she says she cant see a reason to carry i have ne...

Re: A bit of a Curfuffle...

It takes time and an understanding of how guns work and why you want to carry one. 6 years ago my new wife wanted to know why I was wearing a gun, and why is it was cocked. After reading her the public safety section of the Star Tribune that SHE gets daily, she now understands. Today she could care ...

Re: HighSpeed Photography Kind of Kicks Ass. Muzzle flash photos

For good results load the round guns with 2400, Blue Dot for the flat ones.

Re: American Guns

I was maybe a bit premature in my initial judgment of American Guns. I judged it after only watching the first episode. Pretty decent show they seem to have real smiths unlike Redjacket which is one smith and the other the "Moron Clown Posse". I think the one thing I have to ask is the da...

Re: Today i shot A.....

I owned a Glock 19 in the early 90's. I can say it was reliable. It just was not all that accurate though. It just lacked character so to speak. It was like buying a Bic pen or a bar of soap. It did what it was suppose to, but there was just not a "wow" factor for me. I traded it in for a ...

Re: Today i shot A.....

fine by me. deterrence is the goal if avoidance doesn't work. but if deterrence doesn't work, the turd also throws lead pretty fast :) You 1911 idiots will think you're real smart when 11 guys jump you, slowly, one by one, just like in the movies. But fast enough that you don't have time to reload....

USP. Load, apply safety, place in holster. You can also buy the version that has no decocker, but I have never used mine. It is my favorite choice in combat tupperware.

Re: Is this holster legal for a steel shoot?

That looks like a "Classic" Ernie Hill Speed leather rig and providing it holds the gun while you're running, it will be fine for the steel shoots. When that came out, it gave the top shooters about a 1 tenth of a second advantage over the askins avenger that lots of other shooters were u...

Is this holster legal for a steel shoot?

Is this trigger covered enough to use in a steel shoot? It is an Ernie hill for a Government, but it fits my 945 about the same. The trigger coverage is about the same with the 1911. Since it was an IPSC favaorite for years, I hope I could use it to a speed advantage as opposed to my carry holster. ...

Last time I examined a Sig 1911, it had an infernal lock on the side of the slide ... like kinda behind the extractor ... they give that up?

The "manhole cover" has been gone for years.
