Mossberg 930 JM PRO SERIES 10 SHOT

Get a replacement mag spring from Brownells. They use a thinner diameter wire and it makes for easy loading. I cut my spring about 8 inches past the tube. As long as it loads the last round in the tube you are good to go. You can always go back to your original spring if you have to but give it a tr...

Mossberg 930 JM PRO SERIES 10 SHOT

That's my 3 gun shotgun. Made a few mods and it runs good. You won't be disappointed. Just keep the piston area clean. It's the Achilles heel of the gun.

Re: Raw lead for Bullet Casting

Check out Roto Metals. You can get special alloys for boolit casting. Plus various other metals. Spend $100 and it's free shippng. I've bought tin from them to add to my wheel weight ingots. The prices are pretty good.

Re: press alignment question

You need to adjust the prawls on the bottom of the ram. It dosn't take much to align them. I have to readjust mine every once and a while. Using an allen wrench turn the adjuster screws either way to raise or lower the prawls. Also I use a little Hornady dry lube under the shell plate and the ram. S...

Went to new range in Rogers- Target Sports Minnesota (review

Just got back from the new range in Rogers. Very nice. Clean, good acoustics. Slab floor so you can pick up your brass. Not easy to find. I'd go back for sure.

I use a spray lube from Cabellas. Put a couple hundred cases in a gallon zip lock bag. Lay in flat with the top open. Spray the lube in over the brass. Zip it shut and work it around in the bag. Dump it out on an old cookie sheet and let it dry. I full size all my .223 brass and have never had a stu...

Re: Tumbling media

I put used dryer sheets in with the media. Cut one up into 4 pieces and let it tumble. The pieces come out really dirty and it helps keep the media clean.

Re: Looking a finally getting and AR

My first and only is a DPMS lite 16. It has morphed over the years and looks nothing like it did when new. I shoot it at 3 gun matches, DMG matches... it's always been reliable and acurate. There are lots of choices and opinions out there. Just find one you can afford and remember you will more than...

Re: Gopher Campfire in winter

Last I read the hours were from 8am to sundown. They had an issue with guys shooting using the car headlights and had to put a stop to that.

Use a lighter recoil spring. Tune the gun to work with the load. Why give up a soft shooting load when you can lighten the recoil spring. Wolf has various weight recoil springs. Get a few different ones and test them out.
