Re: Biden drops out, endorses Harris.

Well, I’ve been here a while. Trump is not the salvation some seem to say. I like his policies better than Harris, but I don’t trust him to follow through on them. Vance has convinced me to go from definitely voting write in to thinking “maybe” on Trump, but Trump is the negative in my mind. Almost ...

Re: Biden drops out, endorses Harris.

We could and should do better than DJT.

He’s not conservative, smart, moral, principled, or a decent human being.

That he looks good compared to the democrats is a very sorry statement about public life in the US.

Not quite…

The 8 rounders are high capacity, but not extended- they are the same length…

Re: Guns to garden tools

If it isn’t the receiver/frame, it isn’t a gun.

Besides, these anti gun folks are a protected class. Rules only apply to us untermenschen.

Re: Bug-out/home bags and extended magazines

The advantage of a big magazine is that if you get in a fight and get a bit excited, you can stay in the fight longer with a larger magazine. Folks have been known to sit and keep pulling the trigger despite the gun being empty… From my USPSA experience, the larger mags are a bit more difficult to k...

Re: IMI 7.62

I have used a bunch of IMI brass in the past in handgun calibers, and it was good stuff. I’ve not used any IMI .308, but have used some .223 IMI factory ammo which was good, and some .50 BMG which was good (but my use wasn’t the hyper accurate stuff - .50 BMG Barrett shooting. It’s been closer to co...

Re: Quick question on adjustable gas blocks

Well, since suppressors increase gas pressure, I would put the suppressor on before tuning to function if that is your intended use. If it functions without the suppressor it will be overgassed with it.

Re: Quick question on adjustable gas blocks

Maybe I’m misunderstanding you, but if the bullet is jamming before it goes to full lockup,it sounds like something other than a gas problem.

Re: Old lever gun ‘smith needed

I think most gunsmith shops can accomplish that…. If you leave out the last word. You are better off selling it at a gun show as a project/parts gun. You are undoubtedly losing money now, and the more you put in, the more you lose. With the exception of collector arms, lever guns are just not worth ...

Re: TTSX vs. Partition on moose

Additionally- I have shot a .350 Remington magnum some. It’s a short action version of the .35 Whelen. I’ve had good luck with a 225 TSX and the 250 A Frame in that. The A frame is a bit slow unless you load it a bit long due to a lack of powder space. It’s less of an issue in the whelen. At those v...

Re: TTSX vs. Partition on moose

Moose are rather dumb… it takes a lot to convince them that they are dead. The Barnes is the prototypical monometal bullet. I use them on dangerous game regularly. (.375, .416, and .470) If you use the TTSX, I’ve never seen them not expand. I’ve seen and heard of the .30 and smaller not expanding in...

Re: CDC removes self-defense gun use stats after private meeting

Looks like we need to pull funding from the CDC again relating to firearms violence.

Treating criminal violence as a medical problem makes about as much sense as treating a medical issue as criminality.

Re: Handgun sights recommendations

I don’t think reducing your eyebox area is going to help you. (Trying to find a sight that makes you be in only one place to see the reticle) A red dot will reduce the issues from short sight radius. If the sight is jumping around too much, that’s not a sight problem. Most BP meds actually reduce th...

If they were truly marxists, they wouldn’t need that much money… that whole from each according to their ability to each according to their need thing.

Re: An account of mass murder at Moscow "Crocus City Hall"

One think I thought interesting from the reporting I saw… The place had a big sign over it - “Crocus City Hall”…. In English. It seems to me that the anti American sentiment is probably more on the part of Putin and the government apparatus than the Russian people. I hope that Russia can change cour...
