Re: Really Quiet 22LR

Buy yourself a pellet rifle. Makes no noise and there's pellets aplenty. https://www.pyramydair.com/air-rifles I have no experience with that particular brand of air rifle but in my experience air rifles are louder than a locked breach suppressed .22 with subsonic ammo. I actually went ...

Re: Really Quiet 22LR

Buy yourself a pellet rifle. Makes no noise and there's pellets aplenty. https://www.pyramydair.com/air-rifles Yeah I have a couple, just nothing in the same form factor and similar weight to my PRS rifles. But maybe that doesn't matter as much. I also was looking at some Remington 700 ...

Re: Really Quiet 22LR

If you invest in a silencer, then your quiet ammunition options increase immensely, as any subsonic round will be quiet enough for your purposes. Just like planting a tree, the best time to start the paperwork was yesterday, the second best time is today. Good luck! Bitter Bastard The wheels are in...

Re: Really Quiet 22LR

CCI CB 22 Long (#38 710 fps) Perfect except they are non-existent right now. This ammo shortage is depressing, the only pre-made ammo I need is special quiet 22lr and I can't get it. I can find all the match grade ammo I might need for the next 6 months, and I have ammo cans of high velocity (usles...

Really Quiet 22LR

I am looking for some very quiet 22lr sized ammo that will feed from a 22lr bolt gun magazine. I have been using Aguila Colibri with my bullet trap in my garage, and its working well and it is quiet enough to not disrupt anybody. But its impossible to find right now. Below is a list of what I know i...

Re: My tumbler saga...

This would be a far better treatment for stopping rust. http://www.por15.com/POR-15-Rust-Preventive-Paint_c_11.html This stuff is seriously as hard and tough as they say. Rodent my offer stands, if you continue to have rust problems let me know, we can sand blast and coat your drum with POR15. -Dan

Re: Idiot reloader

Ok well I could only stand to watch this video so much before I could not take anymore. I am not sure where "sheeter115" got 5.2grains of powder. I only caught reference to "I am glad we did not go to 5.5 yet". I checked my reloading books for 32 S&W Long (which is what he ha...

Re: Rock Island 2011 9mm hi cap

Its not a 2011 like a STI 2011. It is a Rock Island copy of a Para double stack 1911. The Rock Island uses both the RI mags and Para mags (from what I was told).

Re: Sheet Metal Lower AR-15/AR-45ACP Build

Ok so where did the sheet metal lower go?

I thought the 45ACP uppers run just on a blow-back design like the 9mm uppers. No gas system, no locking bolt.

Re: 8lb Jugs Varget and others

I got the facebook post form Gunstop late Wednesday saying they had 1 and 8lb jugs of varget and some other powders in stock. When I got there at 10:30 Thursday morning they were out of 8lb jugs. They did have primers with a limit of 1000 per type per person. I got one of the 8lb jugs of varget and ...

Re: Sorting .45 SPP and LPP brass with Hornady LNL

When you are done sorting out that small primer brass, take a count and let me know how much you have. I am running low on SPP 45 and will trade for LPP.

Re: 30mm scope ring for slug gun?

I have been buying TPS rings but they are not going to be the cheapest price. But they do have a set called "Super Low" and they are about the lowest I have found. Plus if you have a Brownells business account they are much cheaper.

Re: The "Lawyerfication" of Reloading Data

I know this has nothing to do with the pusification of the load data it is very interesting. In that range (from the new lowest to the old highest charge) of powder charges the powder to velocity ratio is fairly linear. In fact you can almost just multiply the charge weight by 100 to get the velocit...
