Re: Gunstop West?

I had to have some work done there on my 870. He said it would take about a week. I never got a call back, but when I called two weeks later it was done. Not sure how long it was sitting, but it was done nonetheless. Cabin Fever in Victoria also sends stuff to him, BTW. Long story short, just call a...

Re: To restore or not to restore..... That is the question...

I vote for keeping it the way it is, based on what I can see from the pictures, but doing whatever you can to keep it in serviceable condition. If that means doing some metal work, then go for it. I would keep the stock the way it is. It looks "distinguished" :) The pictures could be lying...

Re: Is a Gun Safe An Essential Item?

But only if he can find them. [...] I prefer stealth over strength. There's a saying among computer professionals - security by obscurity isn't. Both true, but... Hiding things in that manner probably isn't the best idea with kids around. Kids like to get into things. In MY case if my future hypoth...

Re: Shooting Trap - Going to Start Wednesday

I've been trying to convince some of my buddies that they need to come out and shoot trap some time at my place. They always have excuses like work/school, no money, or no gun :)

Re: Anyone make the gun auction last Thursday New Germany

Man, I didn't even know about this. Looks like he passed almost 2 months ago. Shows how well I pay attention to what goes on around here. Sucks 'cause that was the closest gun shop to me. Anyone know if Palmer is still in the basement? What's happening with the building? Some of the auction results ...

Re: where to start with 308 reloads?

I like the Lyman manual as well. If you are completely new, ABCs of Reloading is another good read IMO.

Re: Forget that Saiga Shotgun

At first I thought this was that .410 upper. Then I looked closer and saw that it is a (I think) mostly one piece affair.
Isn't the Saiga 410 cheaper with better mag availability anyway?

Re: best place in Twin Cities to buy used long guns?

If you head out west to Hutchinson there's a place called Little Crow that seems to be pretty good. Kind of a big place, actually. Haven't been in there in a while, but they've had things that I'm looking for on hand and prices don't seem to be bad. Might not be the cheapest (especially if you have ...

Introductory Post

Hey all, and greetings from near the center of Carver County! Been lurking for a bit and just thought I would join to have some kind of rapport on the off chance I feel the need to post something. Been looking into handguns and this looks like a good place to start. Oh, and after reading some other ...
