Re: Trump and his anti-gun agenda

Well, the rumors were true! https://apnews.com/article/fbi-director ... 4bf46ad876

Just an acting director though. Obama had an acting director for over two years at one time. I wonder how long Patel will be in this position?

Re: Trump and his anti-gun agenda

You're being evasive, sherlock. Why would you think that any rumor addressing a possible appointment of the director of the FBI to the ATF position was worth addressing here? Edited to add; Kash Patel tells FBI staff to ignore Elon Musk’s productivity email as signs of power struggles emerge in D.C....

Re: Trump and his anti-gun agenda

Trump's EO; https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/02/protecting-second-amendment-rights/ I think Trump does not really believe that the 2A is a safeguard of security and liberty. If he did, then he would not have had a gun grab, proposed gun confiscation without due process or suggest...

Re: Trump and his anti-gun agenda

He is the new director of the FBI as of February 20. Trump will probably direct him to purge the ranks of any agent associated or remotely associated with the J6 investigations or any investigations into Trump's activities. It will most likely not matter how loyal they were to the country or to Trum...

Re: What are Trump's 2A promises?

Bump stocks were banned in Washington state also. I have no idea if anyone got the $150 buyback that was promised.

I wonder how many bump stock owners hid their bump stocks back in 2019 instead of surrendering or destroying them?

Re: FL SHOOTS LEGALLY armed motorist - OFFICER SAFETY

I think it is systemic. A police officer is typically held to a far lower standard when it comes to discharging a firearm. Can I just open fire and injure or kill someone and then later claim I was protecting society or I feared for my life? And then expect there to be no charges filed or acquitted ...

Re: Trump promised to sign national reciprocity

Why do so many people here want a president that curries favor with the anti-gun crowd?

Re: FL SHOOTS LEGALLY armed motorist - OFFICER SAFETY

I did not watch the video. But police shooting Americans happens often enough that it is like we do not actually have a 2nd Amendment right to bear arms. All police officers receive enough training that ensures they would not have negligent discharges if they actually gave a damn about what they wer...

Re: Abolish the ATF

No way will Trump allow the ATF to be abolished. They accomplished his first gun grab for him. Perhaps he thinks that the next time he calls upon the ATF to deprive Americans of their property without compensation, they can do it in a manner that does not result in the courts reversing them.

Re: FL SHOOTS LEGALLY armed motorist - OFFICER SAFETY

Allowing police officers to kill a person just because they have a gun, for the most part negates the 2nd Amendment rights we are supposed to be able to enjoy.

Re: Trump promised to sign national reciprocity

So why did Trump wait until 2025, when he could have pushed for it in 2016?

Will he push for a reversal of the Bush bump stock ban? Re-open the civilian machine gun registry? Silencer deregulation? Probably not.
