Re: Bolt action .22lr mecca?

There are a bunch of good designs (primarily made for center fire rifles) if you're looking for some inspiration. Check out the Whiskey 3 chassis from Kinetic Reasearch Group and the XLR chassis as examples. And share what you come up with - I'm still looking for something new for my MK2. :)

Re: Bolt action .22lr mecca?

I'm currently torn as to what to do about the plastic junk they call a stock on this thing. I can either make a tube gun conversion for it (which would be cool and fun), or I can just get a boyd's and call it a day. If they had any of the color combos I like in stock, I probably would've just bough...

Re: Need scope advice

Vortex is a company worth checking out: http://www.vortexoptics.com/category/riflescopes They have a "no-questions asked, lifetime guarantee." If you break it, they'll replace it, even if you bought it used. It includes everything they make, from the $100 entry level scopes to the $2k top ...

Re: Bipod suggestions

I really like my Atlas, but it's not really the most affordable option.

Prior to getting the Atlas, I had a UTG 6-9" that I got from Cheaper Than Dirt for around $20. It worked perfectly for a year or so on a .308, and it now resides on my .22 - might be worth a look.

A little late to the game...

Greetings All - I signed up on the board about a year ago, but apparently missed the introduction section until recently. I figured it was time to make good and introduce myself. My name is Scott, and I live in the north Metro (Mounds View). I've been a hunter for many years, though I just st...

Re: Chengwatana Range Report 7/17/12

Does anyone have a ballpark guess as to what the maximum range is out there? I'd like to find a place to practice some longer distance shots, thanks!

Re: Remington 700 magazine conversion??

I've actually done this on my 700. I went with a Wyatt's detachable box set-up (http://www.stockysstocks.com/servlet/the-473/Wyatt%27s-Outdoor-Detachable-Magazine/Detail), and I like it a lot. My only complaint is that the magazine is kinda hard to load. I looked at several options, mostly revolving...

Re: Anyone have experience with the Ruger LC9?

I've had an LC9 for a few months now, and I like it a lot. The finger extension mag makes it very comfortable to hold and shoot. The trigger is kinda heavy, but very smooth all the way through the pull. It also has a manual safety, which I like (though I know most people don't). I got mine from MNBl...
