Was this in the news? I'm not understanding this reference.

Re: Renting a handgun

Come visit Southern California. At least a dozen ranges with rentals within 30 minutes of all the big tourist spots. This is why I didn't respond. :)

Re: Rock Island 2011 Tactical

I'm out of state, but I found mine for $629.99 w/ night sights ($700 OTD w/ tax and background). The next closest place was $609.99 w/o night sights.

Re: Where to find Parts for Sig P6

Interesting, I checked out my P6 (and P228, and P226), but there wasn't anything there. Does it operate well without it?

Rock Island 2011 Tactical

I just threw down on a Rock Island 2011 Tactical. I'm stoked! I purchased a their regular 1911 Tactical a few years ago, and have been nothing but pleased. I'll be picking it up in a few weeks, but figured I'd see if anyone else has taken the Filipino plunge.

Re: Where to find Parts for Sig P6

Not quite sure what the guide rod bushing is, but I'm assuming you need a new guide rod (maybe take down lever or locking insert). I have purchased literally all my spare Sig parts from Top Gun Supply, and have been nothing but satisfied! Reasonable prices, prompt flat rate shipping and good custome...

Re: Howa Rifles?

Today I felt one of their new triggers that Howa started shipping... two stage and comparable to the new Savage triggers. Pretty nice for an out of the box trigger.

Re: first time flying with a handgun

No loaded gun, gun is locked in a hard sided container, declare at counter, wait for the screeners to xray your bag, then continue as normal. My wife is sick of me traveling with firearms because of the extra five minutes it take, but it's worth it in my opinion! Have fun!

Re: Walther PPQ

Well I have been searching for a 9mm and have researched until I am blue in the face and have shot a few of my friends guns. I am new to guns so it has been a learning process. I have it narrowed it down to an XDM or a Glock 17 or a Walther PPQ. Which I know is odd because of the price difference o...

Not sure if this is a great deal or not. I remember seeing this a week ago, and I know it's not particularly common.

I'm jealous though, looks like fun! Who put this one together?

Re: Smith & Wesson gun smith.

Having worked at a gun shop, I've seen both S&W and Ruger have the TOP customer service. Few questions asked, service for free (even when the customer clearly screwed things up, but only one freebie!). While each case is unique, I'd still contact S&W and see what they say.
