Re: Interesting tidbit overheard at Fleet Farm

Want food, ammo, or anything else from me in a disaster, send your daughter. The hot one, not the fat one. :o  Careful. Just as she starts showing some skin and your blood starts pumping, you lose concentration a bit and she slits your throat. Then Dad walks in to your castle and takes eve...

Re: BCG Staking

Before you make any further mods, make sure you try some different ammo and magazines.

Re: My 7.62 Saiga

Nice work, I did the same and it's a fun firearm. Check the interwebs for some aftermarket butt pads, ex: http://kalinkaoptics.com/zenit-ak-butt-pad.html . The rubber butt pad will reduce slipping as well. Pic from CSS should help you determine which trunnion you've got (mine was round, ...

Re: AR advice!

If you're looking for a high-quality first AR rifle, I would look at getting a Colt 6920 or 6720. The pricing on them is very good (hell, they sell the 6920 at some WalMarts now), they're reliable, and they should shoot well out of the box without any tinkering. Re: Need input on a home defense shotgun.

+1 on the Rem 870. I threw an 18" barrel and flashlight on my old hunter and it now rests in Mossberg lock, on the wall in our family's "safe" room.

You should be able to find an 870 for a good price, new or used.

Re: Carry gun suggestions requested

I was very comfortable with my G21, so I went with a G26 for daily carry. Even though it's fairly small, I'm still very happy with my accuracy with the baby glock. I like the ability to carry larger capacity, spare mags (like G17 and the always-fun G18 30 rounder). I don't think you can really go wr...

Re: Gun Storage and Maintenance

As others have mentioned, maintain a steady temperature and keep humidity around 50%.

Then, wipe all your firearms down with some Eezox and you're good to go.
