Re: Steel targets

As I understand it the biggest factor for cratering and penetration is speed. Higher speed generates more heat on impact. Action target has some good info in their PDF: http://www.actiontarget.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/pt_Steel_Target_Resource_Guide.pdf MGM is even more conserva...

Re: Small pistol primers bulk buy Sellier & Bellot

No experience with S&B but I see that Graf's had Magtech for $112. I've been through about 9000 of those, all of them ignited.

Re: OathKeepers sites down - False Alarm

Bundy quit paying his grazing fees when they reduced his allotment from 900 to 150 head of cattle. Does anyone seriously doubt that the BLM wasn't determined to put him out of business with that much of a reduction? I posted a couple of related articles on this thread: http://www.mnguntalk&#...

Re: Taboo Topic: BLM Nevada: ...Was the 2nd Ammendment in Play?

I ran across this case that sheds a little light on how the BLM operates: http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/constitution/item/15602-federal-judge-rules-for-property-rights-smacks-down-abusive-feds Federal Judge Rules for Property Rights, Smacks Down Abusive Feds "Judge Jones said...

Re: Cree LED light bulbs (Home Depot)

I was at the Brainerd Home Depot on Monday and they had 75w and 100w equivalent Crees. The salesman said they just put them on shelf the week before. I think it ~$20 for the 100w.

Re: revolver/woods=holster

Here is another idea in lieu of a holster, discreet, plus space for other essentials like means to start a fire, etc.

Re: Stupid question about 5.56 brass

I purchased one of the 1000 round bulk packs from Fleet Farm that had these crimps. The brass was LC 13. I think it was labeled Federal M193, not the American Eagle stuff. I purchased another box last fall and it had the old style crimp.

Thanks for the reminder. It's usually a good place to pick up shotgun shells for the season.

Re: Steel target shapes and sizes

Have you considered the Steel Challenge courses of fire? You can set up all various stages with 4 - 10" circles, 5 - 12" circles, and 4 - 18" x 24" rectangles.

Re: Hornady LNL AP Press Questions

I did have the same problem with the shell plate loosening. I picked up a wavy lock washer in the metric section at Menards, it solved the problem.

Re: Hornady LNL AP Press Questions

I think I'm coming up on two years of loading 9mm on my Hornady, I am happy with it. I have close to 10,000 rounds through it. This was my first press and first reloading experience. I had one problem early on, a primer didn't seat all the way and I broke a pawl trying to force it to advance. Hornad...

Re: Politics and the 2nd Amendment

Rob, please don't take my post as being critical. I appreciate all the work you guys do, you saved our bacon last year. I understand how difficult it is to travel outstate with all the other stuff that has to get done. I'll make some calls.
