Re: First powder to try behind .224 77gr Sierra Match Kings?

I just ran across the recommendation of Ramshot Tac for the 77gr SMK here: http://www.jprifles.com/document_pdfs/JPHandLoading_17.pdf

He was talking a 20" barrel though.

Re: 2 teens killed after allegedly breaking into home;

Or maybe he had other stuff to get rid of before he made the call.

Re: Die setup for 9mm

I went with the Hornady taper crimp die, no complaints, but haven't compared it to anything else either.

Re: Die setup for 9mm

I just started reloading last spring. I went with the Hornady AP, Hornady dies, RCBS lockout and run as your option #2. When I started I couldn't find a PTX expander so I went with the one from powderfunnels.com. I've been very happy with the set up. I've reloaded around 4500 9mm rounds, not one fai...

Re: Calling all Glock Armorers

I'm just a rookie armorer, took the class last spring. I've got a 34 that I use for games. It probably has 3000 rounds through it from me. I first tried the lighter Wolff springs and guide rod. Didn't feel much of a difference. A couple weeks ago I installed a Ghost Rocket connector, I think it was ...

Re: New Ruger 10/22 WOOT!

They are a bunch of fun. I've got two that I've worked on, both have Volquartsen extractors, hammers, bolt release, and extended mag releases. Both are in Hogue overmolded stocks. One has Tech sights and stock barrel, the other has a scope and Green Mountain barrel. Here is a do it yourself pdf: htt...

Re: Bought kydex lately?

HDPE is pretty tough stuff. Used it in our milking parlor and the cows couldn't break the 1/2" stuff. We bought it from Farmtek, shipping one sheet might be expensive. http://www.farmtek.com/farm/supplies/prod1;ft1_building_material-ft1_polymax_wall_4;pg106835.html Edited to add...

Re: Go Sealed Mindset!

Nothing quite like taking advantage of a tragedy. Didn't even let the bodies cool. Borderline poor taste. The media sought them out. You absolutely certain of that? Seeing some of the marketing techniques they have used on this forum (shill accounts etc.) I have my doubts. Either way, it doesn't ma...

Borderline poor taste.

The media sought them out. I see this as a positive. A little counter balance to the idiots like Bloomberg.

Re: Post em up! Let's see those reloading benches

>It is tight but it works.» I see you've met my wife. I'm not going to touch that one. :| I'm new to reloading, so far I've cranked out 1000 rounds of 9mm on the LNL, and I thoroughly enjoy it! Wish that I would have started about 40 years ago. Over the winter I carved out a room in the basement...

Re: Alternative to chains for hanging steel

+1 on the conveyer belting. Actually the belting we've been using is off a round baler. Tough stuff.

I also like these stands: http://www.arntzentargets.com/folding_stand.htm . If your target has just one hole it works great.
