Re: Red Jacket Firearms Loses Their FFL

I stick with the Outdoor Channel for my gun viewing, along with Top Shot, and the Military Channel's "Triggers".

Re: OAL questions

Trail Boss is a great powder for low pressure loads.
I've loaded all types of powders for my Uberti 45 Colt, but will only use Trail Boss for my expensive AWA Peackeeper.
Just a sweet shooting powder.

Re: Gun Owners of America Ratings

I go by the NRA ratings.

Sorry, don't mean to demean Gun Owners of America, but I trust the NRA over anybody.

Re: OAL questions

Here is an idea, that you can take or leave, but it will work. Head over to Wolf's Den and buy a box of 500 148gr wad cutters [WC] Use small pistol primers. 4.0gr of W-231 powder. Just crimp where the crimping groove is. If you crimp too much, it will bulge the case, so just back off a tad. This is ...

Re: OAL questions

Sorry that I upset you so much buddy.

HOWEVER--anytime that I see a new reloader, saying that his gun takes +P ammunition I know EXACTLY where he is headed. [Even if he doesn't know it yet]

Just figured that I would issue a little warning.

Carry on Rottenham :salute:

Re: OAL questions

Like the other guys have said. Read the reloading books!!! With a new load, I will consult at least two of my books, and the IMR web page on the internet. Now--a bit of advice. You are new to reloading, and already want to test the limits of a .38spc. Very--very--DANGEROUS!!! Start with the lower lo...

Re: The racist Ron Paul... wait, no.

Actually, I'm an Independent Conservative who thinks for himself. I vote Pro-Life, and Pro-Gun and strong Military, but won't support candidates that are two steps to the right of Attila the Hun either. {Mike Huckabee is my favorite person, but isn't running} Growing up in Ely, and being a Miner, I ...

Re: The racist Ron Paul... wait, no.

I'm sure he is a good guy. I just don't agree with his far left views on drugs, the Military, protecting Israel, or foreign affairs. His views about 9-11 are also repugnant to me. He also seems a tad goofy when he gets on a rant about those things. Doesn't look too cool. :tantrum: For me, it's eithe...

Re: Why i'll never give gander mntn another dime ever... a rant

Like I stated before, Gander has great clothing.
Just received by FedEx my Tactical 5.11 pants ordered from Gander.
Best manufactured pants ever, and great customer service by Gander's shipping Dept.
Just ordered another pair after receiving these.

Sometimes they surprise me.

Re: Why i'll never give gander mntn another dime ever... a rant

I still go into Gander. Just have to watch their prices, which are astronomical on many items. I still buy most of my cloths there because of quality, and run into some great buys on used guns once in a while. Their management is very poor, but they get what they pay for on that one. A few years bac...

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

My Wife's Family will be coming over on Christmas, and after eating and exchanging gifts, we all are heading to the Gun Club and we will be shooting all of my assault weapons. It should sound like a small war within ear shot of the FLSC. THAT is a Redneck Christmas :gun: :gun: :gun: :gun: :gun: :gun...

Re: Wanted 9mm bullets for reloading.

I don't, but they seem to be plenty accurate with my Sig P226, and Sig P220 9mm.
I'm loading 4.0gr of W231 with these.

Re: Wanted 9mm bullets for reloading.

It wouldn't hurt to check out the Sig Forum.

I have made several deals on their classifieds with good results.

Also, a lot of knowledgeable people hang out over there.

Re: Good gun shop to stop at tomorrow?

And along with all of that, you get to take home Gary's pipe smell on your cloths so the Wife knows who you have been hanging out with

My worst nightmare "OK--I smell Wolf's Den. How much did you spend???" :badmood:
