Re: best semi auto shotgun for the price

The Mossberg 930 is a great gun, depending on the model they run from under $500 to $800 or so. The basic HD model with 18" barrel and no extra frills should be right around $500. Extra barrels, stocks, and accessories are plentiful and affordable.

Re: Core 15 Tactical M4 Piston Rifle

Have him check out Fleet Farm's Korstog line as well as long as he's there. DI version of their Huldra. You tell him not to buy a rifle of unknown quality from any unknown manufacture, then tell him to look at a rifle from an even lesser known manufacturer  . Actually both the Core15's and Hul...

Re: 9mm AR

The JR carbines are neat guns, especially since they use cheap, reliable Glock mags. There isn't much parts commonality with the AR besides the fire control group and butt stock, but they were designed from the ground up to be a pistol caliber carbine. IMO the best AR based 9mm is the Rock River, th...

Re: Can ammo make that big of a difference?

Yes! It can make that big of a difference. Those are three very different loads. Different loads of the same weight and bullet type can even make quite a difference.

Re: Tristar Raptor

The Tristars are made by Armsan, who makes shotguns for several other manufacturers. They are a pretty decent gun, basically a clone of the older Beretta gas guns. The machining and fit/finish is better than most guns in the price range. They also take Beretta Mobil-choke tubes.

Re: Remington website

Remington has one of the worst websites of all the big manufacturers, are you sure it wasn't working as designed?

Try Craig at Hammerdown Firearms. He is in Menagha, a couple miles from downtown Park Rapids.

Re: Savage Axis?

The Axis is a decent gun. They all shoot very well, but the trigger will feel more like your 870 than most bolt actions. At that price point, in a left handed gun it is about your only option. It may not be pretty, but they do perform well for the price. If you can deal with a right hand bolt, I wou...

MWCA Gun show Buffalo, MN Aug 17&18

The MN Weapons Collectors Assn is having a gun show this weekend at the Buffalo, MN civic center. 9-5 Sat, and 9-4 Sun (MWCA members can get in at 8am both days). $5/person. This should be a decent show since the MWCA only allows arms and related items, and no garage sale type stuff. We will have a ...

Any web designers here?

I am looking for someone to help with some web design/development, and SEO for my firearms business. I would like to find someone who is interested in firearms, so I thought I would check here. Willing to trade firearms, or pay cash.

Re: US Arms Patriot 15 plastic lower

I have sold hundreds of New Frontier poly lowers with only 2 complaints. Both of them were failed takedown pins on very early production units, no issues with the actual receiver. One I know of is running as a full auto dealer sample with tens of thousands of rounds through it. I don't have any expe...

Re: Zip 22 - anyone fired one? local sales?

I have sold a few of them now, and had pretty good feedback. The early ones didn't run well with the BX-25 mags because they cycled faster than 10/22's and the rounds couldn't come up fast enough to get caught by the bolt. They now come with several springs for standard and high velocity ammo to tun...
