Re: A question for the Ladies

I agree on the "no pink" for carry - I just think it would be too hard to conceal well (unless she wears a lot of pink, which she very well may!). That Black Rose is awful pretty, though - I might have to put that on my list of purchases for the future! I just bought a Springfield EMP from...

Re: Dealers in the twin ports area.

I've gotten both my XDm 9mm's (4.5 and the compact) at Fisherman's Corner - I've found them to be the most reasonable in the area.

Re: Shooting Gloves

Bob Allen gloves are the best! ANd they happen to be on clearance right now. Normally $48 on their website, now $15  If they had the mens gloves on clearance I would buy a case at that price. http://www.bob-allen.com/category.asp I agree the price is great and I think I'll order a pair, but ...

Shooting Gloves

I live just outside of Duluth and we only have outdoor shooting ranges in my area. This isn't any problem during the warmer months, however, now that it's getting colder I'm looking for gloves to wear when shooting. Do any of you ladies have a particular brand that works out well for you?

Re: Advice appreciated

If you like the feel of the 1911, I'd suggest taking a look at the Springfield XDm 9mm. I love the gun (I have two of them in 9mm - a 4.5 and a compact) - it shoots well for me and has been totally reliable. You might like it, too.

Re: Doctors *can* ask if you have guns in the house

I want to remind those of you that are disagreeing with me that in my original post I indicated that if a pediatrician were to use his/hers questions about gun ownership to use it as an opportunity to lecture me on my decision to own guns, I would quickly let the physician know he/she was oversteppi...

Guns become the doctors business once someone gets shot and they have to fix them.....and not until then. Actually, pediatricians do ask abo...

Re: Doctors *can* ask if you have guns in the house

I'm sure you're all going to blast me for this, however, as a parent, I see absolutely nothing wrong with a pediatrician asking if there are guns in the house, and whether they are kept secure from the kids, any more than I would take issue with the pediatrician reminding me that my child should alw...

Re: Hello from Northern MN

Welcome! there are a few "Up North" folks on the board (I just moved back to the lake from the cities recently). How far northern are you? And how come you haven't gotten your hubby interested in joining you at the range? :) I'm in Duluth. I've been trying to get my husband to join me, as...

Yes - I am too! I'm on quite a few other gun forums, but I really like that this one is for MN shooters.
