Re: Bank of America Freezes Gun Manufacturer's Account

Between Sarbanes-Oxley, Graham-Leech-Bliley, and a whole host of other laws which clamp down on banks, BOA very much clamps down on a lot of things that look funny because of regulations and fear of Federal lawsuits. Is there a potential for abuse? absolutely. But if regulators get one whiff of pot...

JAKL Machine 80% Build Party

Man, sounds like a blast! Makes me wish I had funds/time laying around for this, but a basement remodel is eating up both at the moment. If this really does turn into an annual thing hopefully I'll see you all next year!

Re: How could this happen when guns are illegal in France

Yes, firearms are quite legal in France and other European countries (note: Great Britain does not consider itself part of Europe) If I had wanted, I could have purchased a fully functioning "antique" weapon in Bastogne, a weapon we know as the .30cal M-1919 machine gun for about $1,500 A...

Re: Two new revolvers!

Nice buys! Haven't shot the Governor yet, but the LCR is absolutely on my short list of awesome guns I need to have someday. I've heard the LCR in .357 can be a bit of a beast to control at first, I'd be interested to hear your experience. Let us know how they shoot!

Re: Ruger GP100 Question

DA pull on mine is about 10lbs give or take. SA is nice and crisp at about 4lbs. It will naturally lighten the more you shoot it, or if you want it lighter right away you can spring the few bucks for a lighter spring or just sit there and do dry-fire drills all day for a few weeks (check your manual...

Re: New Year - New Guns

Seeing as how I just bought my Sig, I doubt that I'll have the budget for a new gun this year. However, if the money tree I planted in my back yard before the frost set in takes root and gives me an early harvest I'll probably be looking at an AK. Then I'd probably want to research a good BUG, then ...

Re: PTC in Carver County, Day 28

I got mine a couple weeks ago here in Hennepin on day 29. I think there are just so many applications these days that they're running slower than they used to.

Re: Feinstein's Take on a "New" AWB

She forgot to add the requsite blood/spinal fluid/semen sample requirement!

In all seriousness this is just stupid. At least now that there's real proposed legislation out there I have something specific to write my congressional and senate reps about.

Re: Is it time to talk about any change in gun laws?

What makes all of these discussions so difficult is that nobody on either side can agree about what the root problem is. Is it mental health or high cap mags? Is it ready access to firearms or a culture of violence? Is it eating hot dogs for lunch or hamburgers? Personally, I think that there are le...

OldmanFCSA reloading training

I had the extreme pleasure of spending the better part of today learning the basics of reloading from OldmanFCSA and I am here to say it was quite a good time! Up to this point all I had done to get into reloading was read Lyman's 49th edition, watch some videos on Youtube, and work my way through t...

Metro FFL

I looked through the archives and couldn't find a good list, so if this is a dup I apoligize! My buddy is considering buying a gun online and asked me to recommend an FFL. Problem is the guy I use is south of the river where I work and this guy is in DT MPLS and doesn't want to drive 40 minutes to p...

Re: Opinions on Side Guard Holsters

Awesome info guys, keep it coming. Follow up question: What is the functional/practical difference between the snaps vs. clips for a tuck holster? Is one easier to get on/off but less comfortable? Also, in what circumstances would it make sense to spend the extra cash for it to be reinforced? Thanks...
