Re: What firearm are you using for deer opener?

IF I decide to hunt Wisconsin, I will use my RPR 338LM using reloads of Fed215M, H-1000, Hornady 270 ELD-X. I have capability for long range shooting in many places in Bayfield County Wisconsin. I may need a volunteer to retrieve any deer I may shoot. Due to the status of my legs, the big question ...

Re: ANTIFA Plan Protest Outside of Minneapolis Trump Tally

Well, if you see a fat guy that was in a wheelchair rolling on the ground with some face covered scum, the other guy (not face covered) will be me, out of the wheelchair educating the scum on just how good judo works when you can't stand and smash their heads the normal way. Leave me alone, and the...

Re: Reloading for a 9mm caliber rifle

IF you choose to use lead projectiles, you should use projectiles of 0.355-0.356"diameter to reduce or prevent hot gasses from jetting past and causing severe lead deposits in your barrel. For FMJ or Plated projectiles, use a minimum of 0.3545" to 0.3555"diameter to minimize copper tr...

Re: Second Saturday Breakfast - 14 September

I will miss it this time.

Son and future daughter-in-law (hopefully) will be here thru Sunday when they fly back to Spokane.

Have FUN and have great conversations as always.

We go for breakfast but need to take a hint when they bring out the noon lunch menus.

Time flies when with friends.

Re: Police say school bus driver shot on I-35W after crash

Guessing the bullet grazing his head was the problem as opposed to noise. Are you implying that muzzle blast directed at your face followed by a bullet donking you in the head isn't analogy-equivalent to shooting without hearing protection!!! :o :angryvillagers: Shocked! Shocked I tell you! https&#...

Re: Night vision/thermal in Minnesota

So now I need to coordinate the use of NV/FLIR on my RPR 338LM with my suppressor so I'm able to shoot targeted animals within the city limits from outside city limits without being charged with firing a gun within city limits. With an accurate range of over 1 mile this will cover a lot of territory...

Re: Trouble with an AR build - thoughts?

A while back someone I know had that same bolt jamming problem with a his newly built AR. I just asked him what solved it and he said he started buying 223 instead of 5.56 and has not had a problem since. Make of that what you will I guess. I'm not sure if that means gas problem or buffer spring/we...

Re: Nosler load data

I hate to take over for Seismic Sam, but GO BUY a proper reloading manual and READ it. These companies spend huge amounts of time and money to develop the loading data for you to use. So use it. Getting all your data off the internet will get you burned sooner or later. Getting your data off a compa...

Re: .44 mag - what barrel length?

1982 Michigan allowed pistols to be used to hunt deer. My T/C Contender in 44 Mag was rechambered to 444 Marlin and Magna-Ported with 6-port rifle style. Mounted a Leupold 2X long eye relief scope. Practiced a lot until right hand would go numb from recoil. In Michigan, I sat at bottom of big oak t...
