Re: Which is better: Vans Bluing or Brownells Oxphoblue?

Did you heat it before applying blue ? I found putting it in 140 degree water in bath tub for 10 minutes - pull out and dry - apply as before. Good luck !!! A rougher surface helps initially for better results - opens pores of metal for a deeper blue. EDIT - do when wife is out of house for bathtub ...

Sold the last 7mm-08 rifle I had to a member here - maybe ...

Re: Magnum Pistol Powders

When I shot IHMSA with a 10.5" Ruger Super Blackhawk using a full charge of WIN296 under a lubed cast truncated cone bullet, I consistently got that velocity. I've shot 2 perfect 40's with that combination against shooters using jacketed projectiles. I quit IHMSA back in 1984 for economic reaso...

Re: BREAKING: Trump Administration reopens closed Gun Ranges

Some one needs to let NICS know. Was in small gun shop yesterday and asked how the NICS was doing. The response was "delayed." They went on to explain that as soon as the call goes through, the response from the NICS is: delayed; not taking any info at this time. Did buy their last 8 lbs ...
