Re: BREAKING: Trump Administration reopens closed Gun Ranges

Some one needs to let NICS know. Was in small gun shop yesterday and asked how the NICS was doing. The response was "delayed." They went on to explain that as soon as the call goes through, the response from the NICS is: delayed; not taking any info at this time. Did buy their last 8 lbs ...

Re: LGS observation.

Dang it - I never gave permission for a manufacturer to use my initials in their Serial Number string.

Re: Pelosi Security Points Gun at Trump Supporters

I wasn't a sniper, but my recollection of my ancient military training was that it you could be seen, you weren't doing it right. This sitting with your barrel sticking out window over the edge of a roof is not doctrine. I know it's popular in the movies, but it seems pretty stupid. Agreed, properl...

Re: Drill bit source

Not quality but https://www.menards.com/main/search.html?sf_categoryHierarchy=&search=51+drill+bit https://www.homedepot.com/s/%252351%2520drill%2520bit?NCNI-5 I have the bits from Menards, they're junk. I ordered the cobalt bits from Home Depot, of course they're not in stock. We'll see how go...

Re: Neck Turning brass prep

Neck turning is an exercise I hate doing, but I watched a video of case necks being turned on a lathe. I am intrigued by process that I'm going to give it a try . I will report back on how it works for me doing 50BMG match quality, and then on 338 Lapua brass. RANDY DIERKS had a video on the FCSA we...

Re: Reloading in 2020

I've been reloading since the 1972 Spring semester at SDSU. An IE instructor got me started with loading of 7.62X54R cartridges. Since then the reloading process has changed many times for me. Currently (at last count) I reload 47 different cartridges from 22 Hornet to 50 BMG. 48 years of reloading ...

Re: new website find

I always try for maximum target usage, while most shooters try to shoot the center X out. I've shot 72" groups all shots on target and had fun doing so. Then for some reason I was told to shoot smaller groups - it has taken the FUN out of shooting. Now I have to try to shoot smaller groups. I'd...

Re: new website find

Damn, I now know what I've been doing wrong - shooting at targets 25 to 40 yards away!!!

I should be shooting groups at 5 yards with my Berettas.

(As long as large targets are used. Not the 1/2" diameter adhesive dots I use for 600 yards with my RPR 338LM.)

Re: CCI 35 primers

The only limits on display are area allowed and ambition/knowledge/comfort of staff to put out primers. By my reading the MN Statutes say only 10,000 may be on display. We're only supposed to store 10,000 at home too, in case anyone asks. Sure glad I don't exceed that and the 20 pound powder limita...

Re: Need Tripod Advice

I've been following this Topic with great concern about weight capacity of Tripods. The Tripod from Hogsaddle.com seem to be best but limited to 26 pounds maximum. The Ball mount accessory with Acra-Swiss adapter has a max weight of 44 pounds which means nothing if Tripod is limited to 26 pounds. My...
