Re: July Bang Ping, Wheelie go Round

Are we still downloading to six rounds for semi autos, but you can shoot whatever your revolver will hold?

Re: The ATF Has Redefined What A "pistol" Is

If people would quit asking for clarification or to poke the bear in the eye, definitions like this would probably not happen. Just shut up and buy and use your pistol, and don't ask for 'clarification'.

Re: July Bang Ping, Wheelie go Round

Planning on coming, even though I have to work until midnight the day before. Hopefully my trigger finger will cooperate.

Vintage Ammo question

32Win.jpg I don't know anything about old ammo, but I found four boxes at an estate sale of Remington Kleanbore 32 Winchester special 170 grain softpoints. Green boxes in decent shape, vintage 1934-1942 as clear as I can figure. Three boxes are full of 20, one if half full. I looked on the internet...

Re: J frames

Yup, staging the trigger is the way to go for accurate shooting. With a little practice, you can squeeze the trigger back until you find the flat spot, hold, and release the last little but nearly as well as cocking the hammer and shooting SA. Benny showed me how to do this and with some dry fire pr...

Re: Gun store owners, please train your staff.

C&Arsenal on Youtube has a fantastic series on weapons of WWI describing development, use, disassembly, shooting, etc. Included are things like the Maxim, Lee Enfield, Springfield, Luger, Arisaka and many others. Including the Winchester 92, 94 and 95 rifles, used by various countries in WWI lik...

Re: Low stock at Frontiersman?

Might just be Frontiersman; Gunstop has plenty of stock, as does Metro Gun & Pawn. I haven't been in Frontiersman in a while; I got yelled at by a clerk for asking if they had a price marked for a half case of .223. Since getting upset with customers isn't something I want to support in a store,...

Re: J frames

642 was my primary carry gun for several years. Now I switch off with a G42, depending on whether I want to pocket carry or not. I had one of those that had flaking finish, and sent it back to Smith some years ago. They fixed it, plus free shipping both ways, at no charge. There's a way to shoot a 6...

Re: Took my 13 yo son to BV pistol range today

I think they have a Ruger Bearcat at Gunstop. The smaller than Single Six sized single action would be a good choice for newer shooters, I would think, especially having to cock it deliberately each time you shoot.

Otherwise an old Model 10 would be a good choice for moving to larger calibers.
