Re: Thinking about a Ruger LCP, any recommendations?

I too like the TCP. Mine is very reliable. The slide lock is a big plus for me. Despite the minimal sights it is capable of some very tight groups at 15 yards, a way longer distance than the gun is intended for. It is my pocket gun for around the house and summertime grab and go when in minimal clot...

Re: Walther P22

I picked up a P22 about two years ago for the wife’s first gun. I have been able to shoot any ammo, including the cheaper bulk stuff without any issues. The wife did have issues with the cheaper ammo, but it is 100 percent reliable for her with CCI Stingers. I believe she was limp wristing the gun, ...

Re: So, how many of you guys carry like this guy?

Did anyone else notice his grip? He puts his support hand trigger finger on the front of the trigger guard. I don’t know of any trainer that recommends a grip like that.

Re: Dayton has vetoed the Defense of Dwelling bill

Dayton is so full of crap. I wrote him a letter asking him to sign the bill and this is what I got back. “giving individual citizens greater authority to shoot than currently possessed by police officers.” What bull. Did he even read the bill?

Re: Time for a new carry belt...

I have two of these belts and feel they are excellent, especially for the price. They ship quickly and have lasted a long time.

Re: Taurus TCP .380

I’ve had one for about a year now and it started out real bad. It failed to feed and failed to eject often with many different ammo types. I called Taurus, they sent a prepaid FedEx truck to my door to pick it up. A week and a half later I got it back with two new magazines and a VERY nice gunsmith ...

Re: Federal HST 135GR - .40S&W

I have shot a few hundred rounds of this ammo, and have about two hundred more in the ammo locker. It is a light recoil round with its light weight bullet at less than max powder loading. This runs around 1150fps and could be loaded up to at least 1250 at standard pressures. The round was developed ...

Re: Planning a trip to St. Louis for the NRA Show

I’m going too. I have a brother-in-law that lives down there that got into guns and shoot this past year. He calls me his mentor. My wife and I invited ourselves to stay with him, but he is also looking forward to going to the biggest gun show on earth. He told me to bring my guns and we will have a...

Good price on .40 S&W

My local (Elk River) Wallymart has been selling Federal Champion 180 grain FMJ ammo in 100 round value packs for $25.96. The box states 985fps. This stuff shoots clean, is very consistent, accurate and the brass reloads well. This is bulk packed so you don’t get the trays, but this is a good price o...

Re: Pistol Overall Length

What defines a handgun is the stock. Handgun. (a) Any firearm which has a short stock and is designed to be held and fired by the use of a single hand; and (b) Any combination of parts from which a firearm described in paragraph (a) can be assembled. There is no restriction to barrel length. But if ...

Re: Temperature and Humidity

Thanks for the input. I guess I just keep doing what I’m doing. I always shoot up what I have loaded in my carry gun whenever I go to the club, and reload with fresh. And I always finish my cleaning with a wipe of a very lightly oiled rag. I guess I just get a little paranoid when I see how badly my...

Temperature and Humidity

Temperature and Humidity We live in the land of extreme weather. My employer does not allow guns so I must keep it locked in the car while at work. In the winter my carry gun can see -20F while in the car and then 70F when carried into a building. My concern is what these twice per day temperature a...
