Any prerequisites to taking these classes? Where in SLP are they held?
Thanks.

Re: Where to make transfer?

In the end, the buyer and I will work through a singular FFL, who will do the transfer, and split the cost. Worth the $10.

Re: Where to make transfer?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm in St. Louis Park. I had a vague (and apparently mistaken) recollection that some police departments had establishes zones for consummating buy/sell transactions (not necessarily firearms).

Where to make transfer?

With apologies in advance on likely repeating a question (I've searched for an hour prior to posting; I'm sure someone will point out the right place for me to have looked)....

I have a buyer for a gun I own. Is there a recommended safe place to make the exchange?

Thanks!

Re: Gunstop/Lampi auction today

I got a Sig p238 w/Rosewood grips for $500. With fee and tax ($590), it came in a little bit less than what it would cost retail + tax or shipping + FFL. So pretty even there. Also got a Remington 1903A1 modified 30.06 for $475 ($555 w/fees and tax). Gunstop asking price was $1,100. That was a spur ...

Gunstop/Lampi auction today

I was there from about Noon-4. They kept a good pace. It don't have a good command about market price for most of the guns sold so I don't know if lots of good deals were to be had. My impression from the sale price of some of the more common guns is that not many good deals were to be had. I probab...

Re: Lakes Trading Company in Forrest lake

I visit the store a couple of months ago. Ben is a good guy and his store has more inventory than you'd think. It's brightly lit and he's accessible and easy going. I should have bought the Uzi he had for sale -- it was a good deal.

Re: Advice appreciated

Thanks, Snowman. I guess I'm not into snarky. I am into learning and receiving the wisdom from those who came before me and are more knowledgeable, skilled and experienced. Maybe this isn't the right thing to say here, but I am enjoying shooting and I'd like to improve my accuracy and handling (as w...

Re: Advice appreciated

Thanks to those with constructive comments. In terms of a 9mm in 1911, there seem to be two basic perspectives. One is that anything other than .45 is an insult to the 1911 platform. The other is that it's preferable to have a high capacity 9mm, and high cap non-1911 platforms are far more abundant ...

Advice appreciated

Novice in the forum and with firearms. I've recently purchased a Jericho 941 in ok condition (Gunbroker) and an SV Infinity .45 1911 in excellent condition (Bill's). Both are hi cap. I've put about 300 rounds through each. I don't carry and my primary home defense pistol is my H&K P7M8. The Jeri...

Another newbie

H&K P7M8 Jericho 941 SV Infinity .45 Had the P7 for about a decade but fired maybe 50 rounds (which is about all I can fire before it's too hot to shoot). Focus has been home defense but since my interest has grown in the 1911 .45 genre. Bought the Jericho last week to have a 9mm shooter that, u...
