Re: AR Buffer Springs, Hard or Soft?????

Also take note of where your brass is going. There's some info out there online that will tell you how to read it and what to do if it's not right. Do you have any links? You want the brass to eject and land in a zone, between 3:00 and 4:30 out from your AR. If it does, you are good to go. If the b...

Arizona HB 2728 signed into law

From NRAMedia.org..... Today, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed House Bill 2728 into law. This important hunting bill will allow hunters in Arizona to use lawfully-possessed suppressors (also referred to as silencers) on firearms for hunting. HB 2728 passed in the state House on February 28 by a 42...

Re: Such a difference

Not meaning to brag but no, I've never missed a shot at a deer. (I've also reloaded since the '70s and I've never had a squib nor an over charged load either.) I've only hunted in deep woods one time, and when I finally saw the deer, it was but 50' from me. We pretty much saw each other at the same ...

Re: Such a difference

If you think that suppressing the sound of your firearm doesn't give you a distinct advantage, I don't know what else to say besides take up archery. I've never had to use more than one shot on a white tail to bring it down. Are you saying the deer hears the report from my rifle before the bullet h...

Re: Such a difference

Just don't understand the big deal about owning a suppressor. Other than the novelty what is the attraction? It isn't a big deal....why do you assume it is? And it sure isn't for the novelty aspect. A good can for a .308 runs in the $1K range....there is a reason for that but that is a different th...

Re: Such a difference

There are states that consider using a suppressor/silencer to take game hunting? I guess I fail to see why protecting your hearing while hunting an animal somehow takes away from the concept of hunting. Does it somehow give you an edge over the animal you are pulling the trigger on? Wear hearing pr...

Such a difference

I have 80 acres outside of Bemidji that I'll retire to in a few years. I currently reside in Arizona, where I've worked for the past 26 years. I sure hope Minnesota catches up with some of the other states in relaxing some of the firearm laws. Last I knew, it was a felony to own a suppressor in Minn...

Re: Springfield monthly catalog

The good part (I guess?) is that this new model is not part of the XD(m) line but rather the XD-S line, according to SA.

Re: Springfield monthly catalog

Maybe the OP is referring to SA announcing a slim/small single stack .45ACP at the 2012 ShotShow. It is marketed for concealed carry. The most recent addition of American Rifleman has an article about it.

Re: Upgrading Sights...

Unfortunately, about a decade after you buy the night sights, you'll be replacing them with a new set. I've bought my first and last set.

Re: UPS Store "doesn't ship guns"

Not all of the clerks/counter people at the hubs are even up on their own company's policies. This past Monday, I shipped a rifle back to FNH. Long story short, the lady behind the counter stated that ALL firearms have to go overnight express. I told her only handguns met that criteria. "NO.......

Re: Burris Fastfire - anyone have one of these?

I ran one on my AR-15 as a secondary optic for a while. It saw the most continuous use during a 4 day practical rifle course....round count was about 600 rounds for that course. I've also ran it on my Ruger Mk1 that uses a TacSol top end. And just because I could, I tried it on my 12 gauge for a cou...
