Re: Definition of Joy

Funny how the Mrs. does not appreciate the fine aroma of Hoppe's #9 throughout the house.

2004 Yamaha VStar Classic 1100

Spring time cycle sale! This is a great bike for someone able to ride more than me. $2600 OBO and it is yours. I have had it running and riding these last few weeks, though it does need a carb job. If you are handy with that sort of thing, you get a great bike for a steal. Overall good condition, ne...

Re: Very depressing about a Navy SEAL

Apparently, the particular SEAL who killed bin laden is down on his luck. Not really focusing on the article after reading the last paragraph. Maybe instead of dumping bin laden in the ocean they could have auctioned his body to the highest bidder. Then they could put that money in a trust fund for...

Re: Aimpoint PRO or Eotech XPS 2.0

Thanks for the input so far. I think the overall winner here is going to be the PRO. Fleet Farm in N St. Paul has one in the case for $409.

Aimpoint PRO or Eotech XPS 2.0

All, I have been researching, researching and more researching for some time now. I am torn between which one to mount on the ol´ AR. Thanks to a few folks at OGC, I have tried each over the past months but am torn between two lovers. Which would you get? Considerations: middle aged eyes, standard f...

Re: Target Corp is no longer listening

First, for the purposes of not getting beat by the dialog/ terminology, I suggest we distinguish open carry from slinging a rifle while shopping. Then, for the asshats shopping with their rifles, they need to be kicked repeatedly in the ass and their swimsuit regions until they either wake up, or g...

Re: Paymar not running

Good riddance! I like the Mao references, though with he and his posse, I can't help but think of Beria and the NKVD. Extreme example yes, though the level of persecution and rhetoric toward us "gun nuts" is on par.

Re: Cold Case JFK & ballistics

I watched the whole show the other night and was impressed at the level of detail. Hats off to PBS for the quality of the JFK coverage.

Re: Armed intruder shot by homeowner in Pine County, sheriff's o

How did the Old man have the presence of mind to: give the guy commands, shoot him in the leg, watch that plan fail as the thug reaches for his own gun, decide NOW he has to shoot him in the heart, shoot him in the heart, decide the threat is over. Sorry Stupid-Home-Invaders.....you're in my living...

Re: And the new Cabela's is located at:

I too, cannot wait until it is up and running. We have been avid Owatonna day trippers and catalogue fiends for years. As I think of my usual Saturday errands, the list will now be:
OGC
Sam's Club
Cabela's
Beer store

Not necessarily in that order :D

Re: I've got a new favorite carry gun

Congrats!

Btw - this makes for TWO fantastic Glock stories on the board within the last few weeks. Dare I say a trend is evolving? :D
