$150 and I guess that's only through March, after that it's $175. He said it should be done in a couple weeks so I assume he'll do the next batch at the end of March.
If it came off with paint thinner it isn't duracoat. I would be willing to bet he went with good ol rattle can. I mistyped, I used a paint stripper/remover gel that works on epoxies. Still, it could very well have been normal paint that was used. Thanks for the help everyone. You saved me time, $, ...
I've seen guns with worn-out bluing used for many, many years without problems as long as they got a wipe down with oil once in a while. They look like veterans. Ain't a bad look. I agree and think that the bare steel looks better than blued but I can't risk it rusting away. The guy who had it befo...
Really not worth the trouble or expense for an 870, especially one of the new types. Maybe if it was a cherished Winchester Model 12 owned by the family for years or something. That's what I'm learning, but after I made the purchase it was either A)have a nonfunctional gun or B)get the stuff off of...
Yesterday I picked up a used 870 Wingmaster. I got a decent deal on it due to it having a "glossy black refinish" which amounted to an awful coat of duracoat or other epoxy on all the steel parts. The stuff was on so thick that the barrel wouldn't fit in the receiver properly. I spent the ...
Blaine FF had a couple G19 Gen 4's last week and five or six G26's the week before. I stop by there quite often so will post if I see a G19. Thank you. I appreciate the reconnaissance man. I went to the Lakeville FF a few hours ago, they had an AR of some sort. No 19s but a couple in .40 and .45. A...
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I stopped here on the way home from work and there were about a dozen people waiting at the counter. The clerk pulled out a case and said it was the last one. Now, i don't know if it was the last one for the day, last one period, or just a diversion tactic to...
Once you cut it down could you post some pics? I'm contemplating doing the same with one of my Model 12s but I'm reluctant to do so because it's so old. Then again someone before me already cut an inch and a half off of the stock, so it's hacked up anyway. You really can't beat Model 12s. They're th...
I've got 15 boxes(300 rounds) of PMC bronze I'd like to trade for hunting 150gr .308 (core lokts, power shocks, etc.). I was thinking my 15 boxes for your 10. Located in south Minneapolis near airport.
And if anyone knows of a new Savage 11 FCNS in .308 for sale anywhere let me know
I have a 12 gauge Model 12 that's been used for pheasant hunting for years but it has recently occured to me I should also use it for home defense. Thing is, there's no way I can cut the original barrel. I'm wondering if anyone out there already has a short (18") Model 12 barrel they have no us...
