Plano Gun Case Reviews

I have used several Plano cases over the years and have found the quality is fine and the value is great. I have used two different ones to check in at the airlines several times and had no issues. I have not used the other brands you mention. Mine have been rifle and pistol cases. I also use a Plan...

Kent State Shootings: 44 years ago...anybody remember it?

Born in 65. Remember the nightly news closed with the names of the KiA scrolling across the screen. Even at 5 and 6 nobody had to tell me those were sons, brothers, uncles. Remember the time dad pulled over to pick up a GI thumbing a ride along the freeway. (Dad's a Korea Vet). Mom had a $4/t and us...

Citadel 1911 A1 in 9mm

Was out shooting Sat, happy to report all is well. Appears to be the ammo (Herters) rather than the spring. Thanks to all for the help. Really am enjoying the gun.

Citadel 1911 A1 in 9mm

So after a good cleaning and disassembly of the breach block and firing pin I found metal chards from the wear in of the firearm. May never know if the Herters was bad ammo or the metal shavings were causing disruption. This has caused a learning observation on my part, will the group please check m...

Citadel 1911 A1 in 9mm

Btw, when you run a search on Buds you get two hits on full size 9mm - one supposedly 8+1 and one 9+1... If you go through the menu only the more expensive option shows up :). Manufacturer says they only make 8+1. Which mags did you get? http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php...

Citadel 1911 A1 in 9mm

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/01/asahyba6.jpg Ordered this last week from Cheaper Than Dirt. The price was $75 less than others and they had it in stock. Used Capra's in Blaine for the FFL transfer as it was $15 less than others. Spoke to CTD on the phone and customer service was ...

New CZ75

Purdy gun! My CZ75B compact has been my carry gun for a while. I put Crimson Trace laser it and enjoy those. I had a pistol follow me home this weekend too, but I've not shot it yet (tonight) so I'm not ready to share. Did polish the feed ramp. Happy shootin.

Bullet weights

I do not understand bullet weights. For example with .22 rounds; I've been told a 36 gr bullet is more accurate than a 40 gr. why? Is the gr weight the overall weight of the case and bullet or just the bullet? Thanks in advance for helping me get this straight in my head.
