Re: Are there any local restaurants where the servers open carry

Hong Thai restaurant in Rodgers. The owner has open carried for years. He's a real nice guy and he is right out front helping customers every day. He's usually the first person you meet when you walk in the door. If you like Asian food in a gun friendly environment, give Hong Thai a try!

Re: Rebarreling

If you're in the west metro, try Craig's Gunsmithing.

https://craigsgunshop.com/

He's generally open for walk in customers Thursday and Friday. I've had some rifle work done by him and it was completed promptly and done right.

Re: A cheap carry knife

I carried a Kershaw Blackout for years. Hunting in northern Minnesota a few years ago, I bagged a doe and headed back to camp only to find I didn't have my usual Buck knife for gutting. But my Kershaw was in my pocket like always and it got the job done, including splitting the rib cage. The next da...

Re: Obama picture photoshopped!

Go to this site - http://www.flickr.com/photos/whitehouse/8436110735/in/photostream/ Next, click on the photo to enlarge it. A couple of questions come to mind. First, notice the barrel porting (holes in the barrel) towards the end of the barrel. Why aren't gases coming out of those hole...

I was looking for a Black Rain lower receiver for an AR build. Wholesale Hunter had a low price but were out of stock so I signed up to have them notify me when it was back in stock. Re: My wife wants a Garmin - What should we get?

If you must have coverage because you travel to areas without phone data service and already have a smartphone, just download Navigon. Navigon is Garmin's software for both the iphone and Android phones. The cost is $49.95 and covers both the U.S. and Canada. Then get a phone holder for a few bucks ...

Re: Planning a trip to St. Louis for the NRA Show

I've been to two NRA conventions, the one way back in Minneapolis and the one two years ago in North Carolina. Be aware that if you go they will hit you up to increase your NRA membership level when you register. Actually, they usually have some really good deals if you do decide to up your level. A...

Re: Front Sight Forum

I get a bunch of e-mails from them almost daily wanting me to take their training. If you don't mind sharing, what criticisms did you have of their training?

Re: New From St. Cloud

So I gotta ask yah, did you fire 5 times, or was it six? Sorry I have the entire Dirty Harry DVD collection. Welcome to the forum! I don't have any Springfields. I do have several Glocks, never a problem, never a jam. Goes bang every time, and with practice they are way more accurate than most would...

Re: Frontiersman [And other stores I'm visiting]

I bought my first handgun at the Frontiersman back in 1979, a S&W K-17 .22lr revolver. That was back when they still sold Evinrude outboard motors. While I believe it has changed hands since '79, I've continued to shop there and I've always been treated well. As for J&S, they have some nice ...

Greetings!

Walt signing on here. I have been shooting since I was a kid, in fact I used to walk my Grandfather's model 12 shotgun through town inside a cloth sack back in the day to hunt pheasants and barn pigeons. So that dates me as an older individual, I guess. I bought my first handgun in 1979 - a S&W ...
