Re: TriStar T120 pistol

TRISTAR? Hope it works out for you. I just learned my lesson on Oddball manufacturers. I too would like to hear the range report on this one.

Re: Dayton on record AGAINST 'STAND YOUR GROUND'

Shocker. Heffay backing Mark Dayton. Stand your ground is needed. Sorry Heff but your stance is warped. I don't think you can use Zimmerman as an example for stand your ground. He didn't stand his ground, Martin pinned him to the ground. jshuberg is right. With stand your ground it is a lot less lik...

Re: NOT GUILTY!

ok lets look at this with no hard evidence at all. And yes I am stereotyping all the way. Don't care, everyone does it so save it. I find it much more likely that GZ questioned TM about what he was doing in the neighborhood and TM became confrontational. Rather than GZ walking out of his house and d...

Re: NOT GUILTY!

Racism is the one card they can play, and usually win with. If facts don't support your perspective, make it racial. It is a simple technique that has been used for decades now. Additionally an educated person can work with facts and make a logical decision from them, or at least see another's pers...

Re: Your Opinions: Lessons learned from Zimmerman Trial

don't be "white"! :shameonyou: Exactly. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57433184/fla-mom-gets-20-years-for-firing-warning-shots/ 20 years is excessive, but a simple fact I learned in my carry class. Don't carry unless your prepared to use your weapon and if you shoot, shoot to neutral...

Re: This is not black and white, noob post

EXCELLENT n00b post!! I wish there were more like you... 44 mag was even more confusing, with jacketed bullets being sold that were .429" and .430". Bottom line, when you put either on top of 24.0 grains of H110, that .001" isn't going to make diddly squat worth of difference once th...

Re: New Rock Island 10 MM Tactical 1911

Well I have a late update. Shot it on saturday finally. Went through a hundred rounds. Had about 3 failure to feeds. Was kinda disappointed. I was using remington UMC 180 grain. They are kinda flat so maybe that was the problem. The rounds would noise dive downward. Before I shot it I took it apart ...

Finally here is a picture. Won't be changing the grips. Very comfortable and they do their job.

Like I said I know I will have to be patient. I'm just hoping I will be able to find some factory ammo.

Re: New Rock Island 10 MM Tactical 1911

Sam seems to like to make assumptions about me. For some reason this guy is always accusing me of not reading the manual, not sure why. Have never met the guy. BUt if I'm at oakdale Sam you are more than welcome to shoot it! I don't load near the maximum. I feel like with an auto disk it is a bad id...

Re: New Rock Island 10 MM Tactical 1911

Well I feel reassured about my purchase now. I feel like it will be fun to shoot. It's pretty heavy so I'm not worried about the recoil.

New Rock Island 10 MM Tactical 1911

Well I just picked up a Rock Island 10 mm 1911. Anyone have any experience with these? Never shot one before but my buddy's 9mm RI 1911 ran great. Input welcome. Impulse buy never owned a 10 MM. Thought it was cool.

Re: Good pocket carry

First, barrel length has nothing to do with accuracy, provided it is long enough for the bullet to accelerate to the velocity needed for the rifling to impart enough spin on the bullet for it to be gyroscopically stabilized. A shorter barrel results in a loss of velocity, which effects the terminal...
