Shooters Arms Manufacturing Elite

Wondering if any dealers in MN actually carry these? Unique looking and I like collecting 1911s of all stripes.

Re: 9mm Target Gun

With their combat triggers and barrels with tons of freebore, Glocks can't be taken seriously for an accuracy handgun. Glock is the AK of the pistol world. 8-) I am not alone! Bless ye, bless ye! You'd likely need to have work on the trigger and a new barrel, which is going to put your cost way up ...

Re: My new CZ

Seems Vltor is keeping up the legacy of Dornus and Dixon shame, they've been promising the recreate the Bren Ten for years now, even getting permission to use the Gunsite raven. Still haven't seen hide nor hair of it, which is a shame, I was thinking they might pull the proverbial rabbit out of the ...

Re: 124 grain XTP Recipes

I have the Hornady manual, I know some folks have their own wicked concoctions is all. I also use Power Pistol, just wondering if anyone had a favorite load for carbines is all.

Re: Kimber

Kimber makes a lot of 1911s and a lot of models, their QC has been called into question in recent years after they tried some techniques to keep down manufacturing costs. A lot of noise about MIM parts has been made but I for one realize that a lot of manufacturers use MIM and most of the yelling is...

Re: My new CZ

Still, I have to say I believe that the CZ pistol design is the only significant improvement on the 1911. You're wrong, 1911 breath!! The CZ pistol design is an improvement on the Browning 1935 Hi-Power. Just reverse the rails on the frame and slide, and you got a CZ (more or less...) The barrel ho...

Re: Remingtons enhanced 1911

I haven't seen one up here in Fargo-Moorhead, though I did get a chance to fondle an R1 and I was pretty impressed. A lot of cast 1911s have a blocky front strap and the lines were cleaner, it felt smooth, and it sort of reminded me of how the FS is on a Colt. I was also prepared to hate the sights ...

New Member from Fargo/Moorhead

Howdy, just joined after a suggestion from a fellow on the 1911 forum. Name is Matt, Navy Vet, currently in the National Guard 2/136 ACO, 11-B. Planning on going into Law Enforcement and moving to Alexandria next fall to the tech college so I can learn how to eat protect and serve. Big into the 1911...
