Re: Gun safes

Pick a rubber cattle stall mat at fleet farm if you want a good moisture barrier on concrete to protect the bottom of your safe. Then bolt it down, leaves no open space like a pallet or pucks for anyone to get leverage on it.

Re: 7mm WSM

Only one out of that list that I run is a 300WSM, Savage Model 11, with accutrigger and the factory synthetic stock (not the plastic Axis stocks) still. I do reload, but haven't started load development on it just yet. But plans are Reloader 17 and Nosler Accubonds in a 180gr. Mainly for western hun...

Re: Dicks Sporting Goods

I stopped in only once since they changed from Galyans to Dicks. Never felt a need to go back. I can get a better selection and prices either at Cabela's or Fleet Farm on anything to do with hunting/fishing/camping.

Re: Pinning responsability

I would assume it would be at the moment it was assembled and functioned as a firearm. i.e. once it becomes a gun and not a pile of parts.

Otherwise, the moment just before you get caught...lol.

Re: I be moving!

Bill's North in Circle Pines (store & Range), Metro Gun Club (Range), Capra's (store), Beaver Brook (Club/Range), Trail's End (store)

There's more I'm sure, but those are the ones off the top of my head.

Re: Re: Don't Do This At Home!

I had a guy split a barrel on a BFR on the lane next to me at Armored Fire back in the day. It took every ounce of mental strength I had not to beat him unmercifully with what was left of that poor revolver. I remember that, was working the range desk that day. Someone should have clubbed him with ...

Re: Gun registration now?

Hope everyone pays for their gun related purchases with cash only (no checks or credit cards) cause otherwise, they don't need to collect 4473's, just credit card billings and bank statements will tell them who owns guns.

Re: A cheap carry knife

I'll add to the Kershaw side, Ken Onion Blur. Picked one up from Sportsman's Warehouse when they decided leave town. Got it for half price back then. Only a few years ago did I start carrying it religiously, now I feel naked if I dont have it. Use it all the time, sharpen it once a year, great edge ...
