You can replace the sights on a CM9...

Look into a Kahr CW45. Light, highly concealable, recoil is quit manageable for a 19oz .45 . About to pass the 400 rd mark. Not a single jam or FTF.

Only draw back to using a grip extension for EDC is you can run the risk of the extra protrusion catching on clothing in a situation.

Save some $$ go with the CM9...Only differences are machined slide and slide lock lever, polygonal barrel vs conventional...oh and the PM9 had engraved lettering instead of roll marked...otherwise identical...my EDC...I trust my life to it.
