Re: Undecided .308 or 30-06

I disagree with the above. The .308 can run toe to toe with the 06 up to 180gr bullets and is fully capable of handling any North American big game animal up to big bears. The .308 is easier to accurately reload for, and is in a short action receiver which IMHO is easier to manipulate under field c...

Re: Undecided .308 or 30-06

Simple solution I think. Get a nice 308 Win rifle now, then later when it's time for " maybe elk someday ", you'll have an excuse to get another rifle :D 8-) I'm torn, I'm purchasing a new hunting rifle. Can't determine on which caliber. Will be mostly used for White tail, maybe elk someda...

Re: Autopsy of a Rifle: DPMS Oracle

In the last three months I've come across two AR uppers with finger tight barrel nuts, both factory assembled units, one was from DPMS and the other was a Bushmaster. The DPMS upper was brought to my attention because the barrel was obviously wiggling around in the upper receiver. The Bushmaster was...

Re: M&P Shield .40 explosions

I would. And have. I still have all of my fingers and a functional pistol. I too was skeptical reading all the KB banter but shooting factory loads I have had zero problems. There was a lot of Glock .40 KB talk back in the day and I have yet to personally witness one or know anyone personally that ...

Re: Replacement sights on a Glock.

I put these Trijicon HD sights on all of my Glocks and like them. I have old eyes and find that the large and bright orange or yellow front sight dot is much easier to acquire when drawing out of the holster and getting quick shots on target. The rear sight on these sight sets have green self lumino...

Yup, there's lots of "give", surely enough to give a full turn and possibly two turns after the device contacts the crush washer.

Re: Ar flash hider/muzzle brake shims.

Hey guys. Just upgraded a bunch of parts on my AR and got a yhm phantom break. But didn't come with any shims to time it right. Does any one know who in town may possibly carry these in stock? Looking for around the cities. Thanks. Forget the shims, get a "crush washer", that'll save time...

Re: WTB bull barrel 5.56 AR parts

I have three of the CMMG 5.56mm stainless bull barrels here, one is 18" and the other two are 20" in length. I've not shot with any of them and have no direct feedback from other shooters how they shoot.

Has anyone tried the CMMG 5.56mm stainless bull barrels ?
