Last night I traded my XD40sc for a new Glock 23. I have been blasted by coworkers for trading my first gun. But the XD just didn't fit my hand. It was a great gun but not for me. I will miss the night sights for a while. Hopefully, I will make it to the range in the next few days. Normally I would ...
I picked up a new mag from Thunderjohn yesterday. It works perfectly, so I'm expecting SA to replace the 2 that I have. Now to ship em out! Sent from my EVO 4g using Tapatalk. Glad the dealer replaced one of the bad mags for ya. He didn't replace it. It's not his responsibility to ensure the qualit...
[quote="Mrs. Tim Warner"]Beyond that, get her some xanex and a 40oz. you and I are on the same page. buwahahhaaha! x3 wothless $.02- this is what you get for marrying a hippie. Remember- forgiveness is sometimes more effective than permission. You know the OP is fairly new here and posted...
I get a little frustrated though when someone else's fear keeps me from doing something to protect my family. I'm sure you're smart enough not to say that to her, right? ;) Having someone else talk to her about it first will be far more effective than trying to teach her yourself. 2 things husbands...
so..... heres my take. its well... worth absolutely nothing but i have boobs so i get to offer it in here. please dont take offense to any of this. sounds like your dear wifey has some anxiety issues. not sure if its the gun or the talks you had with her prior to you bringing it home to justify you...
Some people are afraid of horses, so it wouldn't make sense to force them to ride one. Some people have a fear of snakes but you wouldn't make them hold one. My suggestion is to talk to your wife and find out what ALL the issuses are. There is more to this than just a few paragraphs stated on this ...
You indeed have the problem mags. The newer ones are built thicker and have the Springfield logo on them. That's the easy way to tell you have come across the re-called ones. I guess they never officially "re-called" them, but they have admitted it's a problem. Since you're not the origin...
So do the mags have a logo on the metal part? Do you see the bulges as I describe? This is a common problem with XD's. They came out with a thicker walled magazine that is supposed to resist the "bulging" a little better. If I come across a used XD I always check that the mags have been u...
They are the factory mags. Gun was built in '09. Well, as far as I know they are the ones that came with the gun. Either way, they have the SA plates on the bottom. Once the mag is "stuck", pushing the mag release doesn't do anything. When putting in the mag, I can feel it gets tighter rig...
If I'm reading this right an empty mag always ejects properly but a full mag may not. If that's the case you don't have a problem. On a full mag it's not uncommon for the top round to move slightly forward and bind on the frame or some internal doo-dad. It is designed to be more reliable shooting t...
Alright, I played around some more and saw that with the slide locked back, the mag ejects properly. Empty mag ejects properly with slide forward. Full mag gets stuck with slide forward. Here are some pics from the top of the slide down the frame. I cant see where its getting hung up on.
The rub marks are on the sides of the mags. I just played with it and discovered that the mag ejects like it should if the slide is removed from the frame. Like I said, the mag release button is very hard to push when the slide is installed on the frame. With the slide assembled, the mag takes extra...
Are you pressing and holding the mag release or just slapping it quickly and releasing? Does it do the same thing with a full mag? Lube isn't a permanent solution but can be useful to troubleshoot; have you tried a dry lube or just oil? How many mags have you experienced this with? Are there any ru...
