Re: Why isn't this one legal?

Two important distinctions: It is not illegal for you to own a "saturday night special", it is only illegal for an FFL to transfer one to you in this state. Also, this only applies to pistols. I had an FFL refuse to order me a ISSC 22lr scar clone. Legally they could have because that is a...

Re: Live capitol feed today?

Interestingly, I didn't hear any reps, other than the author, taking a strong pro stand about the bill or asking questions of the opponents. BB That has surprised me as well. For context, I testified at the committee hearing a year ago on opening up suppressors for SOTs. During that hearing the ant...

Re: 5.45x39 vs 5.56x45?

I have 2 5.45 ARs and love them. Ammo is cheap, especially since I stocked up on 10k rounds when it was going for $130 per 1080 rd. can. I liked my first one, which was built as a cheap beater rifle, so much I built a 8.25" that is awaiting a tax stamp. Pmags work if you download them, but not ...

Waiting for the stamp to come so I can put these pieces together. For now, just a pistol. 8.25" Spikes chambered in 5.45x39

Re: the new panic... hr 241

Dem controlled house. Dem controlled senate Dem governor. All adds up to a liberal legislature and a liberal governor. I get that, but the "F" in "DFL" is farm. I have to believe there must be lots of rural DFLers that would not support gun control- Tim Walz being one of them. T...

Pro gun story on NPR

I was just listening to the NPR program The Story with Dick Gordon and he had Joel Myrick as a guest. Myrick was the assistant principle of Pearl High School in 1997 when a 16 year old student walked in and started shooting (using a lever action rifle). Earlier, the boy had stabbed his mother to dea...

Re: Response from Sen. Bobby Joe Champion

In law school I interned for a Hennepin County Judge. This guy appeared before the court as an attorney for one of the parties. He was one of the worst attorneys I have ever seen. He was stubborn, disrespectful to the judge, and was plain wrong about the law. Oh, and he arrived in hot water for not ...

Re: Post Letters to Congress Here!

Please do not support our president's push for an AWB. rifles like the AR15 are simply semi automatic rifles with cosmetic differences from "hunting rifles"; they have features such as pistol grips and flash hiders. These features do not make "assault rifles" any more deadly than...

Re: Got a response from Congresswoman McCollum

This is what I got from Ellison on 1/8. Thank you for contacting me regarding gun control legislation. I am honored to hear from you, and proud to represent you. Since coming to Congress, I have been working very hard to advance my policy agenda based on four key priorities—peace, prosperity for wor...

Re: Pre-ban AR builds

like Ed said, there is no law yet, but according to Feinstein's summary of the bill she intends to introduce, all grandfathered "assault weapons" will need to be registered a la NFA like that which is currently required for machine guns and sbrs. That would be a logistical cluster you-know...

Umm... all of mine are. I keep hearing that AR's are indiscriminate killing machines, but mine haven't killed a single person. I guess mine are defective. Do you think that might be covered under the manufacturer's warranty?

Re: FN FS2000 Magazine

The problem with using polymer mags in the FS2K is that there is a rubber dust shield inside of the mag well. The dust shield is shaped to fit the rib on a standard metal mag. Poly mags don't fit this shield because they do not have that rib. You can get some poly mags to fit if you perform surgery ...
