The one thing I'm still trying to find is where does it say ONLY valid for MN permits and not for permits that the state recognizes. Does anyone know where that is?

HF 2007 introduced, MN recognition of North Dakota permits

Monday the 13th was (as I understand it) the first day for our legislators to introduce legislation for this session at the State Capitol. Fabian; Dill; Newberger; Nornes; Anderson, M.; Dean, M.; Zerwas; Hertaus; Kiel; Benson, M.; Uglem and Anzelc introduced: H. F. 2007, A bill for an act relating t...

Re: Meet the Sheriff (Rick Stanek, Hennepin County)

I don't think we should push for secure storage. That would imply that we agree with the current practice of judges ILLEGALLY barring courthouse carry, despite it being perfectly legal under MN law so long as the sheriff is notified.

Re: CCW Question?

The two reasons I update the address on my permit anytime I move are 1) To avoid hassles buying guns. As tizzo said, many shops won't proceed with a sale unless both match. 2) To avoid hassles from law enforcement, especially out of state. Within MN, I would expect any LEO to know the law (although ...

Re: permit to carry address change

Others have mentioned that you are not legally required to get the address on your permit updated, but you may want to as it will make purchasing guns at FFL dealers easier. Some FFL dealers will not complete a transfer if the address on your PTC and your driver's license do not match. There was a r...

Re: Local Ammo Finds

Anyone here have a good source for defensive ammo? I'm specifically looking for Federal HST or Speer GoldDot, both in 9mm. I normally buy from Streichers, but they say they are backordered 6-12 months on all ammo.

edited to add caliber

Re: Gun Trust?

The paperwork for an NFA trust can be done yourself using Quicken WillMaker. Here is a copy of a really good post from another gun forum I frequent about how to create an NFA trust. NFA Trusts, or The Subtle Joys of Playing with the NFA. DISCLAIMER I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice....

Re: Why does everyone insist on MN PTC?

My question, when buying a pistol or "modern sporting rifle" is "If I have a PTP or PTC, why do I need to do a NICS check"? James Brady. Obviously. However in some states (21 states) a NICS check isn't required if the purchaser has a valid state handgun permit/permit to acquire/...

ordered a police trade in Model 10 from them a couple months back. Fast shipping, gun was in great condition (for being a police trade it). Overall, no complaints about them. And they seem to have really good deals

Re: Arnzen Arms after two weeks

Are you guys planning on stocking Ballistol? You're listed as a distributor on their website, but I didn't see any on the shelf when I stopped by on Black Friday. Overall, great place, glad to have another gun store in the metro!

Re: Opinions on Mossberg Maverick 88?

I have one and I wish I had just spent the extra money on an 870/Mossberg 500. If I recall correctly, Fleet Farm occasionally has Mossberg 500 combos with a smooth barrel and a rifled barrel for around $300. Can't remember if they offer a youth model though...
