Re: POLL: How often do you carry?

I am armed at all times, at night there is a .357 under my pillow and a mag loaded 1100 rem. leaning against the dresser, there is also a .357 hidden in the bathroom. When I'm up there is a .45 or a 9 mil. on my belt or in a pocket, I open carry mostly and in seven years have not had a problem with ...

Re: Time for a new .22 for my wife

My wife had a Taurus PT22 a few years ago and it was impossible to shoot well. She traded it to someone on one of the gun forums and it was soon for sale. I have had good luck with Taurus and have or had several of them but would not wish the PT22 on anyone. We currently have Ruger SR22's and like t...

Re: Shotgun shell catchers?

I don't know any trapshooter that uses IC, that is too open even for 16 yd, unless he is a very fast shooter he should start out with full or imp mod and as his speed increases maybe drop back to modified. The last years I shot trap I was shooting 12000 to 15000 shells a year and I was one of the fe...

Re: Shotgun shell catchers?

I've used them for several years on my 1100 Rems, I had one of the stick on wire one on one gun for along time, placement and adjustment is important with that one, a little bending of the spring may be nessesary. None work 100% but the last time I took my Grandson out for trap we both shot 3 rounds...

Re: Shooting outside of Foot Locker in Brooklyn Center

It's my understanding that the two in the hospital tried to steal the shoes from a permit holder and he did what was right.
He was released at the scene. This on the news Sunday morning.

Re: Handgun Locations for Home Security

If you really think you need it, why not just keep your carry gun on you at all times? Nightstand when you go to bed. Because it is impractical and the cops would be called if I mowed the lawn with an AR strapped on. I open carry 90% of the time so when I mow the lawn it is visible and no one has c...

Re: Taurus 85 light primer strike

I have an 85 with a great trigger from the factory and 2 others not as good, I put wolf springs in these two and got 2 or 3 misfires per 100, went back to stock hammer spring, left the lite trigger spring in tho.

Re: Boberg...

I have had one in 9 m/m for about 3 years now and it functions flawlessly, the slide works just like any other auto I have, it needs no special treatment. When mine was new it was very tight but soon wore in and now works to perfection. A friend has both the 9 & the .45 and the .45 is a much lar...

Re: Why we buy QUALITY - not junky crap

Yeah, the P11's have a bad trigger and are hard to shoot accurately, a Northwoods trigger helps them a lot, I didn't carry mine for a long time because of this but lately I have been working with it and have gotten more used to that trigger. The PF9 has a better trigger but is also helped by a North...

Re: Why we buy QUALITY - not junky crap

Imitation is the best form of flattery, and in Kel-Tec's case it also indicates how far ahead of the curve in engineering, design and manufacturing other much larger manufacturers believe KT has been. Objectively, KT has been for years introducing new designs that push the envelope of tools that ca...

Re: U of M Medical Center.

For the guy who broke the pipe off the bed, that sounds like diminished capacity right off the bat. Diminished mental capacity does not mean incapable of causing death or great bodily harm, and in fact may mean less predictable/more likely to be the cause of such. I'm not suggesting that it'd be go...

Re: U of M Medical Center.

I could be wrong, but I think some lawyers would have to be totally asleep not to cover that one. The hospice I work at DOES have that sign, for whatever purpose it serves, but I can't really remember if there were signs at Bethesda St. Paul or Gillette Childrens. I would assume there were until I ...
