Business idea

You could certainly market it as a try-before-you-buy plan but in reality I think what you are doing is promising you will repurchase the gun back from the individual at a guaranteed price or percent of the original selling price after X days and it is still in an agreed upon condition. A really go...

Business idea

I would think if there was a way to make this work, someone would have figured it out already. The problem is, 90% of your customers could be conscientious, it's the 10% who don't give a rip who are going to put out of business. I can see someone renting a precision rifle, shooting 1000 rounds rapi...

Business idea

For carry guns, assuming I rented an already used one, I'm not sure I'd want to trust my life to a gun that a bunch of people already used... And returned for some odd reason. I'd rather try it out at the store then buy new. That was my original idea. Not sure if it was clear enough. Try THIS one o...

Consult an attorney for an iron-clad (or as close as you can get) liability waiver, then keep him/her on retainer. Find an insurance company that'll work with your business model. Charge enough $$ to cover your costs/morons/liabilitypolicy. Form 4473 and NICS checks for every "checkout". ...

Business idea

Besides the hurdles do you guys think its a worthy pursuit? Think anyone would use it for what I'm picturing? You don't buy a car without a test drive, why not test carrying a pistol or hunting with a rifle? The little I've thought this through, I don't see renting-to-sell expensive guns working: I...

Business idea

I guess I was hoping there'd be a way to mitigate it. What's stopping someone from renting a Lamborghini, getting tossed, and driving it through a crowd of puppies and children? It's entirely possible that the lambo is easier to insure than a gun rental that leaves your place of business. I was act...

Business idea

I'm finishing up my marketing degree and while I'll likely end up working for "the man" for the rest of my life I've always wanted to own my own business. Today I had an idea for a segment of a firearms range/education fantasy of mine that would also have short term rentals. Want to try th...

The surrenderers

A lot of people blindly follow "the law", even if its unjust. I will not under any circumstances surrender my firearms to governmental authority. That's exactly what the second amendment is for.

Why does everyone insist on MN PTC?

It may be the law under the strictest reading of the applicable statutes but I think it's a little illogical. Oh well. I have to get my MN to renew my UT anyway, of course Dakota wants the full $100 to give me permission to exercise my "rights".

Why does everyone insist on MN PTC?

So you folks think Utah issues permits to felons?

Also, you can't be on the hook for any act committed after the fact. Even if we do a deal with MN PTC, bill of sale and all that and I go murder someone you are not liable at all.

Why does everyone insist on MN PTC?

I got a UT carry permit because at the time they were cheaper, recognized in more states, and are even a photo ID. There was just no reason to get Minnesota's extortionately priced laminated piece of paper. I'll have to get a MN before a renew because they cried and threw a fit so now UT won't proce...

MN universal background checks

Well this forum may be a lot less useful unless we stand up for our rights. Some committee of thugs decided last night that they're going to include language that would make all of us who strike a deal with our private property to go to a FFL and pay him his bribe and probably some tax to the govern...

A thought on "rules"

I personally don't see how problem with "negative comments on pricing" so long as its respectful. "Let me know when your high wears off" is not as bad as "you're a price gouging twit". That's my opinion anyway and that's the market at work. We're all adults here and yes...
