Re: 22 ammo shortage ease up yet?

I wonder if ammo companies are the blame now. It's been to long since this started. Seems like the so called gas shortage. Federal is currently making and shipping over 4 million rounds per day and will be adding another loading line this year. I don't know about Remington or Winchester but I would...

Re: Foreward grip w/ bi-pod

Someone should have informed this guy that bipods inhibit precision shooting... http://ts1.mm.bing.net/th?&id=HN.608016401524000787&w=300&h=300&c=0&pid=1.9&rs=0&p=0 Certainly wouldn't want the best marksman and American hero looking at yours truly...

Re: Foreward grip w/ bi-pod

If you are looking for good groups forget about shooting from a bipod. Too much movement after the trigger is pulled. You need to get some sand bags for rests. If club doesn't have them make your own.

Re: BCA Issues 2014 PTC Stats

That is a lot of reading material for only $6500.00 of our tax dollars. I thought state workers were compensated better than that . Did anyone else notice that they did not do a grand total of expenses or funds generated by the application permits? Seems they want us to do the math on our own. Or di...

7.62x54R

Aim Surplus has Russian, Romanian, and Bulgarian 7.62x54R on sale for 440 rounds for $99.00. Of the three offerings is there one that is better or worse than the others? All are pretty close in grains and all are Berdan primed. All were manufactured in late 70's early 80's. Your input is welcome. Th...

Re: best deal for 5.56/.223?

NATCHEZ has a 1000 rounds of Federal 55 grain for $349.00. I think you may find better deals in Texas!

Re: "Saturday Night Special" Law

Well, I officially conclude that everyone who's participated in this thread knows more about the SNS law than most FFL's. I've personally purchased a Heritage Rough Rider .22 from Cabelas. The Chiappa and Heritage are both available at multiple FFL's in the metro. I have a friend who had 3 of them ...

Re: "Saturday Night Special" Law

Yes I tried to order the Chiappa's in the past and was unable to do so.
PSA had the Colt/Walther Gold Cup Model on sale for $229.00 plus $8.50 shipping! Now you can feel my pain.

Re: "Saturday Night Special" Law

So how is Joe's able to sell the Colt/Walther pistol if it is indeed a SNS? And what was the asking price "Ghost".

Re: "Saturday Night Special" Law

Had the same experience with Palmetto. Ordered a Colt/Walther Government .22 and PSA wanted me to call my FFL and see if he would accept the transfer. Of course the answer was no. Too bad -- it was a super price on the Colt. But now I know why. Was made out of fake metal!!

State of Confusion!!

I have been looking for a 10.5" barrel for a pistol build. With the Black Friday "hysteria" now in full swing I am swamped with adds from everybody that sells AR's. My dilemma is how can the same barrel from Classic Arms be available for $67.00 and a similar one from any of the more w...

22 TCM

Cabelas has a Rock Island 1911 in 9mm as part of their Black Friday Doorbuster promotion. The pistol comes with a conversion kit for .22TCM. Have done some research on the web as far as origin of cartridge, etc. My question is does anyone have any first hand experience with using the caliber and rel...

Re: How do other clubs deal with members shooting everything up?

That idea has been brought up more than one time at club meetings. Tough to spend the money when other projects need to be done. All a matter of priorities.

Re: How do other clubs deal with members shooting everything up?

How about some type of video monitoring? Could be as simple as a trail camera with the capability to send pictures to an I-phone instantly. Shooting the top wire could have been an accident-- shooting up chairs not so much.
