I have run hundreds of rounds through my FNX9 and have never had a problem. It is lighter than my Springfield but seems to have less recoil. It has ambidextrous decocking/safety levers, slide release and magazine release so it is perfect for us leftys.

I can help, but only on the weekends though.

A few great ambi choices would be the FNX, the Beretta PX4 (only the compact version is fully ambidextrious) or the Taurus 809.
