WTB: Cheap 10/22 barrel and parts

I’m looking at building a 10/22 and experiment with a few odd and end parts. Primarily, I bet someone has an old stock barrel laying around they took off a build and wouldn’t mind getting rid of. I might be open to more parts as the build progresses but let me know what you have.

Ruger Wranglers in Minnesota?

No, no legal way to do it. There are a few around because most people don’t know the law. Or don’t care.

Minnesota Pistol Length

Is it even possible to acquire a Remington 700 action that hasn't been designated as "rifle" from the get-go? (I have no idea, but I can imagine this being a significant stumbling block for this ides.) The long and short of it is... yes. Long https://www.midwayusa.com/product/...

Minnesota Pistol Length

Was under the impression of barrel is less than 16 inches but OAL was above 26 inches, it was a AOW. Nope unless its got a can, a giggle switch or a stock they are calling them firearms now....If the receiver was never a long gun in any fashion. I have a brace on my 12.5 inch 308. Measures 27 inche...

Minnesota Pistol Length

Can someone remind me what the legal requirements of a pistol are regarding the overall length specifically for Minnesota? If I build an AR style pistol and OAL goes over 26” is it no longer a pistol? Or does the barrel under 16” keep it a pistol? In other words, if I were to build an AR pistol with...

How Guns Twist the Logic of Self-Defense Laws

It seems to me a lot of people were in the Minneapolis riots protecting businesses with AR-15’s in the same fashion Kyle was. Only difference was nobody attacked the people in Minneapolis so no one was shot and it didn’t make the news. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk John Rieple, owner of Cadill...

Agreed. Stay away from “Minnesota gun rights” though. There’s something fishy about them.

Reloading in 2020

Brass prep is what really kills it for me. That and keeping track of it all. If I reload the same piece I’d brass 7 times, I figure I want to keep enough records to know that. But that does take even more fun out if it. Currently, I’m not reloading for accuracy. That was my original intention when I...

Reloading in 2020

It’s the year 2020. How is everyone reloading now that we are in the future? I bought a basic lee single stage kit years ago, and ended up just not enjoying the time I spent with how tedious my basic kit was. So what’s the answer? What’s the best balance in not spending a fortune on a large progress...

Metal Detectors at the State Fair

We're reviewing legal options w/ counsel about this issue in regards to Minnesota's Permit to Carry & State preemption laws. We'll have a decision in the coming weeks. b Keep up the good work. I’m following this closely. I wonder if they found a firearm on someone, if presented with a valid per...

Feral hog hunting, best strategy?

I’ve never gone. Want to, do this is where my research has led me- Caliber-there seem to be great size differences between pigs. Unlike deer, hogs can vary in size by hundreds of pounds. I’m convinced .223 will be enough for 90% if the hogs you encounter. Especially if you’re comfortable with follow...

Re: People Who Left

Oh, I will say this too. I don’t come on here as much anymore because Tapatalk became unusable for a while. I suppose I can check if it’s working now, but it wouldn’t let me post anymore. So I deleted it and just come on in my smartphone browser. That leads to its own issues. I only use my phone the...

Re: People Who Left

I’m still here. Not posting as much as I used to. I think there’s such a rise in “firearm media” or at least I’m finding a lot more good information than I ever did in the past. I used to ask technical questions here and there, but I’m finding my answers a lot easier than ever before. That, and I ha...

Are cheaps**t laser sights worth it?

All lasers are cheap range toys. If you don’t trust your sights in the dark, get night sights. If you don’t think you can see night sights, you won’t be able to see a laser. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk My dbal a3 definitely wasn’t cheap Yet still a range toy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
